My young friend Spice and I were unceremoniously “dumped” on Mission Road. Fortunately, a good Samaritan picked us up and took us to her home, where we stayed for 3 days before coming to TALGV. Not long after our arrival Spice was adopted, and went merrily on her way. I’m a 2 ½-year-old female American Bulldog, and just like my name I’m also sweet, but as sweet as I am, I need to be an only pet in my future home…no dogs or cats, please! I love getting attention, playing ball, and I can use a doggie door. I understand the commands “sit” and “wait.” I’m an adorable package of love just waiting for you to open up your heart, and take THIS package into your home.

My sister Dollie and I are two adorable, fun-loving, and playful puppies. When we were outside all alone, a nice person took us in and cared for us for a few weeks. She taught us to tell her when we had to go potty and how to be good when left alone. We got along well with her children and even with her kitties. But the older dog who lived there didn’t care for us, so she had to bring us to TALGV. The volunteers say that we are really sweet, walk well on leashes for pups so young, and that we like everyone, showing our affection with lots of doggie kisses. Now we are looking for our forever home and if we could stay together, that would be totally awesome!

Hi… my name is Cain,

Black Mouth Curs are known as working dogs, so a secure yard, and lots of exercise are at the top of my list. I’m crate trained and know the commands: “sit,” “come,” “stay,” “lay down,” “potty,” and several more. I’m a friendly, loyal, and smart boy who, when on a leash, needs a strong handler. I don’t like loud noises and thunderstorms, and anything that covers your eyes. I have gotten along well with children and other dogs. I can use the doggie door, but I need to learn not to mark my territory. I wasn’t getting along with the house cats, and that’s why I’m here now. It has been suggested that I should probably be an only (child) pet. When you meet me, please remember these adjectives: Loyal, protective, sensitive, fearless, kind, intelligent, and TRAINABLE.

Hi… my name is Starr,

While spending time with my foster dad, I discovered how loving family life can be. I happily respected the house rules by not chewing on or touching anything I shouldn’t and asking to go potty. When being introduced to different people, I made my “dad” proud by always being polite and friendly. Occasionally, when he left me alone for a few hours, I didn’t mind being in my crate. I follow commands, such as “sit” and “stay,” especially at mealtimes and when getting treats. Being a very affectionate gal, I discovered recliners (and beds) are great places to cuddle. I love sharing a home with my “people,” but I’d rather not share it with another pet! Do you have an empty spot in your home that needs filling? Luckily I’m available! (2/22)
