I am an old Chihuahua lady and yes, I know, my age shows. (It happens when you are almost 16 years old!) There are the usual aches and pains in the joints, and I’m getting a bit forgetful, too. I still enjoy short walks around the neighborhood though. My favorite place is on the lap of my person. I alert my people when I have to go potty, but sometimes they don’t understand as quickly as I need them to! Are you someone who would not expect too much from me, but can take me into your heart for the time I have left? I am a young and energetic chihuahua boy who is looking for a new home. I most recently lived with a family who did not have time for me and I ended up spending too much time in my crate, which was very boring! I rather loved playing with the kids, running outside. I admit I occasionally ran away to do some exploring. They also said I need to learn to tell people when I have to go potty and to walk better when on a leash. I want to learn that! Can you teach me? Here at TALGV they say I am gentle and love to be the center of attention (which is just my due). It was a couple of days before Thanksgiving, when my canine traveling companion and I were trying to decide which direction to take. A kind fellow traveler stopped and offered to give us a ride. We accepted his generous offer, and because he had no idea where we were headed either, the decision was made to bring us to TALGV. I’m a friendly, handsome, male Staffie mix, who’s definitely giving thanks for being here, and I’m already looking forward to meeting YOU! I can use a doggie door, and one of my handlers mentioned I’m an “easy” walker. Even though my past education is unknown, if you’re willing to be patient and work with me, I could be that loving pal you’ve always wanted. Now, I’m ready to go home! Please, come and get me today.

I’m a handsome, affectionate, and energetic boy who’s crate and leash trained. My foster dad wants to add sweet, cuddly, and adorable, because I love to curl up on the couch with my people (even on the lap, if allowed). I enjoy playing and going for walks, but I need a strong handler. I’m house trained and ask to go out, and even though I already know the basic commands like “sit,” and “leave it,” etc., I’m also willing and smart enough to learn more. I’m a dog who absolutely loves people, but my feelings do NOT extend to other dogs. I definitely need to be your one and only pet. I am a young, fun-loving, and affectionate beagle and heeler mix who originally came to TALGV as a puppy. Someone threw me from a car back then, but I have a new hip, so you wouldn’t know it! My former family says I got along really well with the kids and the cats – just not so much with the other dogs. They also said I was well behaved while I lived with them and that I walk nicely on a leash. I know the sit and wait commands, and I even give High Five’s! I love walks and to play fetch with my favorite ball, and so far I’ve liked everyone I’ve met. I also enjoy cuddles and snuggling up to my person. Can we snuggle up together on your couch?

I’ve recently been returned to TALGV, and even though I’m comfortable here, I personally prefer living in a “regular” home. People from my past have commented that I’m well behaved, affectionate, and love people and other dogs. I’m happy playing with anyone who’s willing to play with me. It’s also been mentioned that I am snuggly, loving, and calm; just ask about me when we meet in person. I can guarantee you one thing, my sweet personality and good disposition haven’t changed over the years. Now I have one goal, and that’s to find my own “forever” home.
