I’m making a return appearance at TALGV due to a change in family dynamics. I’m still handsome, intelligent, and energetic, and walk well on a leash. I need a secure yard with room to run and play, and my breed also needs a “job” or purpose. That said, I really love the game “fetch” and playing with toys. I will even drop them at your feet to include you in my playtime. I’m sociable and have gotten along with both children and other dogs. I’ve been sleeping in a crate at night but being confined in one, in a moving vehicle, makes me nauseous. I believe everyone needs the love of a dog to complete a home. Since I’m ready, willing, and able you might want to consider getting to know ME. I’m a young Hound mix boy who’s full of life and understands the commands “sit,” “wait,” “off,” “leave it,” “place,” “let’s go,” and “free.” Even though I occasionally need reminders to pay attention, I walk well on a leash. I enjoy car rides, but I shouldn’t roam free. I’m somewhat curious about other dogs. I’ve enjoyed “pack” walks and supervised buddy playtime without incident. I can be a little timid when we first meet, but if you’re calm and patient with me, I’ll warm up to you in no time at all. I’m very energetic and my attention is easily diverted, but I’ll respond when asked. At first when I went for a walk, it was obvious that I didn’t know what was expected of me, and as the walk progressed, so did my skills, (somewhat). All right! I admit it; I need leash training. I ride well in a car and I already know how to sit on command and use a doggie door, but more basic training is always a plus. I have a sweet disposition and all I really need is someone I can love and be loved by. It’s that simple!

I may be a young pup, but I already know some of the basic commands. I know how to sit, wait, heel, and it’s also been reported that I understand the “off” command. I tend to get excited and somewhat rambunctious when people come to visit, but if you’re willing to be patient and spend time working with me, it shouldn’t take long for me to settle down. I also believe I’m quite intelligent and I’ll make a good student and an excellent addition to your family. I should also mention I’m soft and cuddly! I haven’t been at TALGV for long, but I can see there’s training around the corner. I was found with my sister, Penelope, dropped off on a road in the middle of nowhere. Our foster family brought us to their home, and we were greeted with love and affection. Unlike my sister, I took a little more time to warm up to all these new people. I am an 8-week-old Heeler/Terrier mix girl that is a ball of energy. My family says I’m pretty mischievous and curious about the world around me. They have started to train me but I still have lots to learn. I love to play every day and especially love balls.
