When I first arrived at TALGV, I was a happy bouncing puppy. I’m back…and I’m a big boy now, and once again I’m looking for a home…my forever home. There were no children in my former residence, just a dog and two cats. Even though I didn’t appear aggressive, I admit I chased and barked at the cats. I asked to go potty, and when my people left me alone, I stayed in my crate (at night it became my bedroom). I know the commands “sit,” “stay,” “wait,” “outside,” “in the house,” and “go nite-nite.” I enjoy car rides and walk well on a leash. I love to get attention and please my people! I’m an affectionate “gentle giant” searching for a home with loving people to share it with! May I share yours?

I’m a Jack Russell Terrier mix, but who knows what the “mix” could be? Whatever it is, it just adds that special something that makes me the unique, personable dog I am today,… and proud of it! I walk pretty well on a leash, but further training would be a definite plus. I’m crate trained, know how to“sit,” and can use a doggie door. I’m definitely a “high energy” boy! I’ve been gentle and tolerant with children, but at times I get carried away and play a little too rough. One thing to consider, even with my short stature, I’ve been known to jump a high fence. I need an active person, who can harness my energy and teach me all of the basics I need to learn. In other words, I need you!

Rocco is a sweet and soft-natured 10-year-old, 75-pound Catahoula/Hound mix male who needs a new home.He is crate trained, has good leash manners, and is obedience trained (knows “sit, ”stay,” “come,” “touch” and “shake”). He is housebroken and asks to go out. He is in good health, neutered, up to date on shots, and medical records are available. Rocco gets along with other dogs and would be best with older children; cats are unknown. He loves his soft ortho bed and only needs a short daily walk. He would be a great companion for a low-key senior. There is no adoption fee for this special boy. Can you come and take me somewhere where I can run and play? I’ve been cooped up for awhile. It was a freak accident: I was having fun jumping around my kennel when all of a sudden my leg gave way. Would you believe it was broken? They put all kinds of pins and wires in there and then I got to live with my foster mom for awhile. That was pretty boring because I had to stay “calm,” but it was also nice! She says I’m loving and mostly obedient (although that’s not always my strong suit) and have learned to sit, come, and wait at the door. Maybe I’ll get to go home to a place with kids, so we can jump up and down together—and you know I would sure like that!

My young friend Spice and I were unceremoniously “dumped” on Mission Road. Fortunately, a good Samaritan picked us up and took us to her home, where we stayed for 3 days before coming to TALGV. Not long after our arrival Spice was adopted, and went merrily on her way. I’m a 2 ½-year-old female American Bulldog, and just like my name I’m also sweet, but as sweet as I am, I need to be an only pet in my future home…no dogs or cats, please! I love getting attention, playing ball, and I can use a doggie door. I understand the commands “sit” and “wait.” I’m an adorable package of love just waiting for you to open up your heart, and take THIS package into your home.

Mollie

My sister Dollie and I are two adorable, fun-loving, and playful puppies. When we were outside all alone, a nice person took us in and cared for us for a few weeks. She taught us to tell her when we had to go potty and how to be good when left alone. We got along well with her children and even with her kitties. But the older dog who lived there didn’t care for us, so she had to bring us to TALGV. The volunteers say that we are really sweet, walk well on leashes for pups so young, and that we like everyone, showing our affection with lots of doggie kisses. Now we are looking for our forever home and if we could stay together, that would be totally awesome!
