Hi… my name is Darla,

Adopted 9-9-21

If you don’t already have a roommate, but you’re open to the possibility of one in the form of the canine persuasion, we should meet! I’m a 5-year-old female Chihuahua/mix and I’m looking for that special person who would like to share their life with me. I found out in my previous home that I might prefer being an only dog. It may take a little extra patience and time, but I believe in my heart that once we connect the results will be worth it. My own loving, human companion who can bring out the best in me is my own personal goal. If you’re interested and I sound like a gal you would like to meet, please call for an appointment. You could be the one!

Hi… my name is Rita,

Adopted 5-19-21

I can be a little timid when we first meet, but if you’re calm and patient with me, I’ll warm up to you in no time at all. I’m very energetic and my attention is easily diverted, but I’ll respond when asked. At first when I went for a walk, it was obvious that I didn’t know what was expected of me, and as the walk progressed, so did my skills, (somewhat). All right! I admit it; I need leash training. I ride well in a car and I already know how to sit on command and use a doggie door, but more basic training is always a plus. I have a sweet disposition and all I really need is someone I can love and be loved by. It’s that simple!

Hi… my name is Dino,

Adopted 8-24-21

I may be a young pup, but I already know some of the basic commands. I know how to sit, wait, heel, and it’s also been reported that I understand the “off” command. I tend to get excited and somewhat rambunctious when people come to visit, but if you’re willing to be patient and spend time working with me, it shouldn’t take long for me to settle down. I also believe I’m quite intelligent and I’ll make a good student and an excellent addition to your family. I should also mention I’m soft and cuddly! I haven’t been at TALGV for long, but I can see there’s training around the corner. By now I guess you’ve already seen my photo (handsome, aren’t I?), but to actually get to know ME, please schedule an appointment.

Hi… my name is Juniper,

Adopted with Penelope 5-3-21

I was found with my sister, Penelope, dropped off on a road in the middle of nowhere. Our foster family brought us to their home, and we were greeted with love and affection. Unlike my sister, I took a little more time to warm up to all these new people. I am an 8-week-old Heeler/Terrier mix girl that is a ball of energy. My family says I’m pretty mischievous and curious about the world around me. They have started to train me but I still have lots to learn. I love to play every day and especially love balls. My shots have been started and medical record is available. Penelope and I are hoping to stay together when we adventure to our new home. Can’t wait to play with you! There is no adoption fee. If you will welcome Juniper into your family, please call Christine between 8 AM and 7 PM at 520-820-0874.

Hi… my name is Penelope,

Adopted with Juniper 5-3-21

My journey began when I was dropped off with my sister Juniper on the side of the road. We were scared in the middle of nowhere and didn’t know what to do! Luckily, my foster family found us and put us into safe hands. Though I was nervous at first, I warmed up to everyone in just a matter of days. Little did they know, I am an 8-week-old Heeler and Terrier mix girl packed with action. My foster family says that I’m pretty outgoing and outspoken which I can fully agree with. Not only that, but I am a huge fan of cuddles so beware! (Just so you know, if you ever have any spare sticks in your backyard, I am the one to call.) Juniper and I are a dynamic duo, so we are hoping to stay together in our new home. There is no adoption fee. If you will welcome Penelope into your family, please call Christine between 8 AM and 7 PM at 520-820-0874.

Hi… my name is Stella,

Adopted 3-26-22

I’m an exuberant, 2-year-old female Staffie mix. I’m a lucky girl to have been brought to TALGV after my former owner passed away. I have a sweet disposition with people, and that’s easy for me since I enjoy giving and receiving affection. I’m strong and full of energy, and can easily get excited, so I’ll need a strong person who can guide me in the right direction. Since I don’t get along with other dogs and tend to be possessive of my things, I should probably be an only dog. I can use a doggie door and walk well on a leash, and there’s probably so much more I can do. Time will tell! Another way to learn of my accomplishments is to take me into your home and find out yourself. Please say you’re willing… because I’m ready to go!

Hi… my name is Nellie,

Adopted 5-2-21

I’m a 2-year-old female Basset/Staffie mix and I’m looking for a home. I can use most doggie doors (I have short legs), and according to a volunteer I’m sweet and I “walk like a dream.” When I recently had a visitor, we had a long conversation about the situation I’m in. You know! No forever-home. We sat face to face and I patiently waited until she finished talking, then I replied with series of a soft, low howls. I don’t know if she understood me, but for some reason she thought that was adorable. What can I say, I AM adorable! You really need to meet me to appreciate me. With my mixed heritage I’ll double your pleasure, double your fun, and you will admit that I’m the one!
