Hi… my name is Sheba (aka Angel),

“A loving, affectionate, loyal little dog.” That’s how a friend described me, although at 39 pounds, you might call me medium-small size. I’ve also been called very, very intelligent, well behaved and eager to please, as well as “back-side sensitive,” which might be due to the BBs removed from my backside (someone apparently shot at me). My life hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve remained very sweet natured and loving. Pleasingly calm, too, although I’m “dog selective,” which means I like some but not all other dogs. As for people, well, I absolutely LOVE being with people! Fortunately, many of them love me, too. Maybe that could include you! Just shy of 6 years old, I know I could have a very good life for a good long time, if you make me yours.

Someday I’ll grow up and be one of the big dogs, but as a young pup I met a dog who didn’t want me around. I ended up getting stitches at the dog hospital, along with the other dog who protected me. She’ll be okay, too, and she sure showed me what loyalty means. When I grow up, I want to be like that—loyal, dependable, and loveable too. People here say I’m loveable already, along with being curious, calm, and eager to learn. A Rottweiler mix male, I’m getting bigger every day, but still a puppy, occasionally cautious with strangers, and in need of training, lots of attention, and extra helpings of love. If you have that to give, will you please make me yours? I’ll try to always make you glad you did.

“Is she always this good?” People asked that about me when foster mom and I went walking in the park. In reply, she sang my praises: “Easy to care for…walks well on a leash…loves going on walks and riding in the car…barks rarely and only when necessary.” I also enjoy watching what’s happening in the kitchen, playing with toys (especially chasing my red ball), and sitting with my person in the recliner to watch TV. (I’m a small-medium size at about 35 pounds.) I’ve had ear surgery, so need someone who understands the fear/touching issues connected with that—probably a person who’s had dogs; someone I could learn to trust. I’ll love that person so much. So if you’re seeking a companion who’s quiet, adorable, and loving (housetrained, too), I’m the one for you!

Tika is an affectionate and well-mannered 10-pound, 13-year-old female Yorkie that needs a good home as owner of 11 years can no longer care for her. Tika is energetic… likes to take walks and play with her toys… will sit on command… but likes to cuddle, too. She is spayed and shots are up to date (medical records are available). She is housebroken and asks to go out. She has been an only dog but gets along with most other dogs; cats and children are unknown. There is no adoption fee for this sweet girl.

Hershey is a sweet and smart 50-pound, 2-year-old female Shepherd mix that was adopted as a puppy. Owner works all day and believes that Hershey should not be left alone for more than 6 hours. Hershey is housebroken, enjoys car rides, and walks well on leash. She is well behaved and knows come, no, and stop. She is healthy, has been spayed and is up to date with shots (medical records available). She gets along with other dogs and kids but prefers lots attention from her person. I like to take life in the peaceful, friendly lane. Oh, I still adhere to my good-dog duties, but in my own sweet way. For instance, my former owner said I would bark and growl to let you know a stranger was approaching, “but when the person gets close, he’ll love on them.” Recently, that positive attitude has stood me in good stead as I’ve dealt with two challenges. First, I lost my home. My previous owner is driving an 18-wheeler now and couldn’t take me along. Next, I needed medical care for heartworm, which took some time but I’m very glad to report that I successfully completed the treatment. Now, more than ever, I’m ready for the best part of life—a happy future with someone fun, loving, and kind. Is that you?
