GIZMO is an adorable, sweet, and affectionate, 2-year-old, 12-pound terrier mix male that needs to find a new home since family has very little time to give him. He is neutered and healthy; shots are up to date. He gets along with kids but other dogs and cats are unknown. He is crate trained (short periods), knows a few commands, and is used to a doggy door. Training has been minimal but Gizmo wants to please so he should be a fast learner. He just needs someone to love him. If you would welcome Gizmo into a loving home as part of your family, please call Karen between 8 AM and 8 PM at 520-331-4340. There is no adoption fee.

DORY is a beautiful, smart, and affectionate, 5-year-old, 38-pound Shepherd mix female that needs a new home as there has been a recent change at home that makes her unhappy. She is spayed, very healthy, and shots are up to date (medical records available). Owner believes Dory should be an only pet since she does not always get along with other dogs; kids and cats are unknown. She loves adults, knows many commands, and has excellent manners. Dory is leash and crate trained, housebroken, and asks to go out. She is easy-going, loves walking long distances on leash and playing ball. If you would welcome this special dog into a loving home as part of your family, please call Cat between 8 AM and 8 PM at 1-617-412-5894. There is no adoption fee.

Hi… my name is Havi,

Adopted 3-10-19

Even though I don’t have a home right now, I’m a happy, hopeful dog. After all, I was once lost, running loose and almost hit by a car, when strangers stepped up to rescue me. Good things do happen! And while I’m watching and hoping for my forever someone, I’m making friends here—I peacefully shared my run with another dog, and the volunteers compliment me for being attentive, affectionate, and lots of fun. A young adult (born in 2016), and slender (about 46 pounds), I’m an energetic, tan and white Boxer/Staffie mix male who equally loves playtime and belly rubs followed by naps. So if you’re looking for a playful, active companion who’ll love you to the moon and back, I hope to meet you real soon because we could be great together!

Hi… my name is Molly,

Adopted 2-11-18

I came from a place with too many dogs, according to the landlord, and we were living outside. Perhaps it was that experience that made me a wee bit shy, but soon after arriving here, I started showing my true colors: friendly, sweet, and exceptionally kind. Here at TALGV, there was a shy dog needing to share a run with a dog who’d be good to her and so the volunteers chose me. We’ve gotten along beautifully and have lots of fun together because along with being good-natured, I’m playful, too. A nice size at 40 pounds, I’m a 2-year-old Lab/Shar-Pei mix female—a tan and white cutie with adorable ears (so they tell me), I’ll make a great addition to a happy, loving home. Let’s meet soon and see if we belong together!

Hi… my name is Sugar,

Adopted 2-11-18

My people gave me up because, they said, I’m “too much of a puppy for being 8 years old.” But from my perspective, that can be a compliment! I’m a senior dog with a young dog’s enthusiasm—I love life and people! Match that with the adult dog things I’ve learned and you have a great canine companion. (Here’s hoping you agree!) For example, I’m housebroken, leash-trained, know some commands, and will sleep in a crate if you like. In my former home, I was okay with kids, liked to play ball, and had no problems around the other animals I met. I’m a very sweet 26-pound Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier mix female, and if you’re okay with an 8-year-old who still enjoys the happy, fun times in life, I’d love to be your dog!

Hi… my name is Patch,

If you’ve ever had a Snowshoe Siamese you’ll know what lovely personalities we have in addition to our awesome looks! Well stop by and meet me if you’re aren’t already acquainted with us, and it won’t take long to lose your heart. My people weren’t able to keep me any longer, so now’s your chance to add a handsome, loving, and very-playful 7-year-old fellow to your life. Since I recently had a kidney stone (which, I’m very happy to report has been taken care of!), I’ll need to be on a special wet-only diet with a balanced level of minerals for the rest of my life, but hey, you have to buy food anyway, so no big deal, right? C’mon, let’s revel in the simple pleasures of life together!

Hi… my name is Ambrosia,

Adopted 1-28-18

My siblings and I have been through some serious experiences—found as little babies in the desert, then some of us requiring medical attention—and now we’re all set for those just-for-fun adventures from the puppy perspective. Not that we’ve forgotten that puppies are supposed to learn stuff, too—things that are very important to our people, so we all need someone with the patience and time to teach us. If you’re one of those people, I promise to remain adorable as I grow and learn. We all appear to be a Chihuahua/Terrier mix; I’m one of the girls, with a light brown coat with lots of white, including on my nose and head, weighing in at 9.6 pounds as a 3-month-old. How about we meet, fall in love, and go home together forever!
