Hi… my name is Indy,

Adopted 1-5-18

Up until now, the path to my forever home has taken some detours. I was rescued from my first home, but my second home already had three dogs and the four of us didn’t get along. There were happy times—my rescuer said I was good with her daughter, enjoyed playing ball, and behaved in the house when alone—so I’m bound to be a great fit in the right place. I can be reserved with strangers (maybe more likely with men), but once acquainted, I’ll open up to show the real me—lively, playful, and smart. (In training, I did a great job on my very first day!) I’m a 2-year-old Shiba Inu mix male, 37 pounds, whose greatest wish is to earn my forever home by being the faithful companion you love.

Adopted 10-13-17

LADY is a beautiful 22-pound, 8-year-old black and tan Cocker Spaniel who needs a new family as she is not happy in her changed home environment. She was rescued 5 years ago from a home where three young children mistreated her, so now that her new family has babies, she is quite unhappy. She is housebroken, asks to go out, and uses a doggy door. Lady is crate trained, walks nicely on leash, and knows many commands. She loves being with her people and is okay with a calm dog or kids over 8; cats are not recommended. She is spayed, is up to date with shots, and medical records are available. There is no adoption fee for this special girl.

If you will welcome Lady into your home as part of your family, please call Briana between 10 AM and 5 PM at 520-245-5434.

Hi… my name is Rosie (aka S’more),

Adopted 11-24-17

“Smart, loving, housebroken.” I recently spent a couple of days with people who observed those three wonderful qualities in me. They praised me for other things, too: “Walks on leash, nice to people and other dogs, rides in car well, sleeps in crate.” All this and energy, too. Indeed, as a 6-month-old terrier mix, you could say I’m full of energy! At just 23 pounds, I can jump a 5-foot fence, so I’m definitely not a dog to be left alone in the yard. Besides, I love company and can be good company, too. People say I’m adorable from the tip of my curly tail to my beautiful dark eyes, and I say I’m just a girl who wants to have fun. Will you give me the chance for an active, happy life with you?

Hi… my name is Bugsy,

Adopted with Blackie 4-17-18

Double your pleasure, double your fun, adopt a bonded pair, two for one.

Blackie and I were buddies at first woof. I was already living with our mom when he wandered onto the property and we welcomed him with open arms (and paws). Blackie and I have been best friends ever since, sticking together after Mom’s death and now looking for a forever home for two. We have a lot in common—both playful, housebroken, leash-trained males, I’m 4 and he’s 3, and our personalities complement each other; I’m especially sweet and loving, and Blackie is a bit more adventurous (needs training not to climb a fence). Together, we’re a bonded pair—we play together and keep each other company—two dogs who dream of one home where we share the joy of being family with people, too. Please say we’re the right two for you forever!

Hi… my name is Bubba (aka Marmaduke),

Adopted 1-14-18

Bubba has earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate.

Here at TALGV, I’ve been dubbed “The Poster Boy for Big Dogs!” That’s because I’m so well behaved and fun at community events—friendly, responsive, calm amid the excitement, walk well in my harness and ride well in the car. All 90 pounds of me! At home, my former people said, I was housebroken, cuddly, obedient, and got along with their cat. I do guard food and toys from other dogs and even cats, so please be aware of that. But I’m very people friendly, always delighted to see my human friends, and as further proof of my excellent manners, I’ve earned my AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate. So that’s me, a big guy trying his best to be loveable, so that maybe you’ll say the happiest thing ever—that I can be yours!

Hi… my name is Curtis,

Adopted 9-24-17

One hot August day, I was running down I-19, lost and very much in need of a safe place and some water. Then something wonderful happened. A gentleman stopped and rescued me from that dangerous situation. He brought me here, where the volunteers immediately said I’m what they call “a very nice dog.” (They didn’t mind at all when I immediately put my hot paws in a bucket of cool water.) Oh, I’m still playful—just 2 years old, so I’m lively and energetic, but also mature enough to sometimes just settle and enjoy the relaxing company of my person. I’m a 59-pound Shepherd mix male, handsome with interesting ears, and I’m lucky to be here. I’ll be even luckier, and forever happier, if I get to go one more place—home with you.
