Hi… my name is Rickie,

Adopted 3-15-17

Since my puppy brothers were adopted, I’ve learned people can be fun, too! A volunteer even took me home for a visit and here’s what she discovered: I really like her two big female dogs and respond correctly to their “coaching,” have a good appetite, adorable personality, a little mouthy (maybe missing roughhousing with my brothers), settle quickly in my crate in the car, my leash skills are improving with every outing, and—here’s something to make you proud—I went potty whenever given the chance to go outside, so housetraining should go well. I’m a growing, 2-month-old Shepherd mix male with a smooth tan coat. Sometimes I’m timid, but when we meet and like each other—which I hope is soon—I’ll be the happy, easy-to-love puppy who’ll love you back forever!

Hi… my name is Pearl,

Adopted 3-10-17

I was found near a local self-storage unit. Why there? Could be I just wandered that far. In any event, I was lost, but, fortunately for me, easy to find. At 83 pounds, I’m hard to miss—big and amazingly gentle. Maybe you’ve known other dogs like me—large-size sweethearts! For me, that means I can stay calm in a commotion, greet visitors sweetly, and if you’d rather mosey than race, that’s okay with me. On the other hand, I’m still young—just 2 years old—so I also love to play and have fun. I’m black and tan, with one of the friendliest faces you could ever hope to see. So won’t you come for a visit? And if we find each other irresistible, I’m ready to be your big gentle dog forever!

Hi… my name is Push,

Adopted 3-15-17

After my person died, her caregiver watched over me, helping to ease that big change in my life. She describes me as “a great dog!” but she couldn’t keep me forever, so I said another goodbye and came here. The caregiver said I got along with her other dog and my good qualities include being “loving, athletic, and cute.” I have a curlicue tail, big eyes and a handsome face, but maybe “cute” refers mainly to my lively personality. I hope so, and you can tell me for sure. I’m a 3-year-old Min-Pin mix male, tan, and 25 pounds. Volunteers say I’m already pretty good on a leash, should do well with additional training, and love being with my person. I say the future holds lots of happy times; how about we spend them together!

Eve

Hi… my name is Eve,

Adopted 3-12-17

I was found with another Chihuahua, Adam, trotting down Sahuarita Road. We were two little dogs in great big trouble—a busy road on one side and the unknown on the other left us no safe place to go. Thank heavens, a kind person spotted us and brought us here. Oh, I was very shy when we arrived; even scared to go for a walk at first. But I’m okay now, have new friends, and sometimes when I nap, I have a big dream. You probably know what it’s about—a cozy, comfy home, where I’m safe and get to play and cuddle with my person. I’m an adorable 3-year-old Chihuahua mix female, mainly white with some brown, and little at 9 pounds. Could you be the one to make my dream come true?

Hi… my name is Milly,

Adopted 3-11-17

If happiness is contagious, you might catch it from me. Granted, I’ve known tough times lately. I was a stray dog, found wandering around Rancho Sahuarita, and although my finder kept me for two weeks, he couldn’t find my owner. It kind of hurt that no one claimed me, but I’m past that now—especially because here, every day someone tells me what a great dog I am. And I do have lots of fun. I’m about 2 years old, an Aussie mix female who’s just 25 pounds (yes, I’m very slender), white with a tan face and a couple of tan circles on my sides. I’m very good on a leash (only occasionally making little jumps for joy), and have oceans of love to give. Will you let me give it to you?

Hi… my name is Laverne,

Adopted 2-17-17

When my sister, Shirley, and I arrived here, we were exhausted! We’re puppies, so we nap a lot anyway, but also we’d been lost! Fending for yourself is challenging any time, but at just 3 months old, we really needed some help. We were hungry, thirsty, and scared. Then we were rescued—and we became puppies who were safe, cared for, and so relieved. And now, Shirley has already been adopted! ’m thrilled for her, but a little lonely. Maybe you could visit me. I’m shy, but love the company of people. And if we like each other, well, you know what I’m thinking, right? I’m a tan Lab mix female, and if you can love the puppy me now, I could grow into the loving, devoted companion who loves you back forever!

TOMMY

Adopted 4-24-17

TOMMY is a 15-pound neutered male Chihuahua/Min Pin mix that needs a new home as owners are moving out of the country. He is in good health, shots are up to date and medical records are available. He is housebroken (asks to go out and is familiar with doggie door) and crate trained. He is leash trained and at least one daily walk is important for him. Tommy warms up quickly to new people and loves to cuddle once he gets to know you. There is no adoption fee for this nice dog. If you would welcome him into your home, please call Antonia from 8 AM to 6 PM at 480-432-7923.
