Hi… my name is Milo,

Adopted 8-9-25

After a few years on the singles scene, I am ready to find love at last. I am a golden-eyed, younger guy (well, I’m 6, but I feel 3) who is looking for a companion to go on walks, play, and snuggle on the couch with. I am easy-going and enjoy the company of other dogs, scratches on my rump, chicken, and cheese. If I do say so myself, I’m quite handsome and well-built (I work out), and I’m a complete gentleman. I do have a fun side, though, and my big smile is practically world famous. My only weakness is that I tend to wiggle a lot when I’m happy to see you. If you are also ready for commitment and want to take the leap with a guy like me, come visit soon.

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Shenzi,

Adopted 8-7-25

If you’ve ever watched “The Lion King,” you’ll remember the quick-witted hyena voiced by Whoopi Goldberg, but trust me—I’m far more polished than my namesake. Even my name means “unrefined.” Please, I’m anything BUT. No scavenger life for me. I’m a 51-lb brindle beauty. I strut on a leash like I own the block, charm everyone I meet, and have excellent taste in roommates (my current dog pal agrees). I’m curious about the world—love a good sniffari to explore my surroundings. I’m independent, not needy. Think of me as your witty best friend who doesn’t crowd the couch, but always makes you smile. How did I end up homeless? A mystery. But honey—their loss is your gain. Let’s make this adoption thing official. I bring the personality. You bring the snacks.

Hi… my name is Mystery,

My name says it all. I’m afraid I can’t tell you anything about my earlier life—I came here as a stray and was a little upset. However I’m now “in the groove” and enjoy sitting on a low perch in the outdoor catio with some of my buddies. I like to play and will approach you for attention, but I’m not sure about brushing—what is that for? I have short hair anyway. My coat is mostly orange striped, but my belly and feet are white. I have matching coppery eyes. I’m looking for a safe home where I can enjoy a life to which I’d like to become accustomed. Got that?

Hi… my name is Nokia (aka Luna),

Adopted 10-20-25

About a year ago I was found as a stray kitten and went to a loving home. I developed some health issues and was brought back to The Animal League for care. Now I’m doing better! My humans say I’m very social and I certainly demonstrate that here, coming to greet any visitors and following them around. I will chirp and squeak and I like petting, but I’m not a real snuggler. Playing is what I love, especially donut bowling and fetch. String toys are another hit with me. I have a sleek black coat with white on my chest and white whiskers.

PJ

Hi… my name is PJ (aka Triumph),

Adopted 10-21-25

I was adopted as a puppy, then later returned for being “too much puppy.” Could I be anything else BUT a puppy? I think not! Since coming back, I’ve aced my basic manners and leash training from my two- and four-legged friends. I was lucky enough to be in a foster home where I proudly demonstrated I’m house trained, crate trained, and even learning to ring a bell when I need to go out. I know all the commands, take treats gently, and walk like a pro — though I might occasionally zig-zag like a bird dog on patrol. I’m affectionate, calm, playful in bursts, and always keep an eye on my people. Basically, I’m a 5-Star Dog. Want proof? Check out my foster “Report Card” below.  I’ve mastered “How to be the Best Dog Ever 101.”

Evaluation by Foster Parents of: P.J.:

We give P.J. 5 stars. If we were able to keep another dog, we would keep P.J.” (Report Card posted on PJ’s kennel at TALGV.)
