Hi… my name is Dottie.

Adopted July 26, 2015

When I was found running on Sahuarita and Colossal Cave Road, I wasn’t there for the exercise! I was a puppy alone in a great big world. On 7/7, a lucky day for me, my kind rescuer stopped and picked me up.   I’m a 27-pound Pointer mix and only about 6 months old, so I’d say I’m the perfect age: Young enough to be adorable and old enough to be ready to learn. The humans here at TALGV think I’m lots of fun—a sweet young girl who is playful and has already peacefully shared a place with another young dog.   I’m hoping you like my distinctive brindle and white coat, and my eager-to-please personality. If you visit me and we like each other, maybe that will be my luckiest day ever!

Pax

Hi… my name is Pax.

Adopted December 31, 2015

My siblings, Max, Jax, Molly, and I were born to a feral mom, but thanks to the wonderful lady whose yard we lived in, we’ve all been fed and socialized and are just as sweet as any kittens you’ve ever met. Our foster mom even made sure we got our vaccinations and were neutered, so now all we have to do is find “real” homes where we can get down to the business of being the entertaining and loving companions we’re meant to be. I’m an orange and white boy, and the shyest of the group they say, but am learning to enjoy being held more each day so I’m looking forward to finding out what a place of my very own is like. I’m ever so hopeful it will be yours!

Hi… my name is Nala.

Adopted August 24, 2015

Like the wise queen Nala in the The Lion King movie, I try to be a loyal, good friend. The person who found me said I walked beside her without a leash (although I agree leashes are good things). I’m friendly with my doggie neighbor, too, but not with small dogs, so I need to be in a home with no small pets. Since I’m about 2 years old, you may be pleasantly surprised by my calm and relaxed behavior. I may even try to give you a soft doggie hug, but I know that should be only when you want one. I’m a 54-pound Staffie mix with a chocolate brown coat (some see it as blue) and white markings, and if you look in my brown eyes, you may see your next great friend.

Hi… my name is Tarzan.

Adopted June 21, 2015

When asked to describe my personality, my mom said I was bold and outgoing, playful and kittenlike, but also quiet and laid back — so take your pick — I can be anything you’d like! My family is moving and living in a travel trailer for several months where there just wasn’t room for the (nasty!) resident cat and me. They were so sad to give me up as I was a birthday present for “my” 14-year-old girl, and the whole family was attached to me. They said I am a very sweet guy who deserves to have a happy, fulfilled life with a new owner who will appreciate me for the playful, curious boy I am. Oh, I also lived (and wrestled!) with a Shih Tzu, so I “do” (nice) dogs too!

Hi… my name is Liberty,

Adopted November 28, 2015

You know how some wonderful people just love dogs? Well, I’m a dog who just loves people. If you want to go for a walk, we can enjoy that together.   If you want to just sit quietly, I’m totally content keeping you company.   I’m about 6 years old, a female Staffie mix who is white with faint dark spots. I was found on Sahuarita Road between Nogales Highway and Santa Rita Road. I don’t know all the roads traveled before that, but somewhere along the line I learned to be gentle and loving. I’m hard of hearing, but I know how to sit and if you give me a sign to stay, I will, but I’d rather come with you. And if you take me home, I’ll be your always-happy companion.

Hi… my name is Roxy.

Adopted July 18, 2015

Roxy comes with Free Vet Care for Life program.

The nice people who found me in Rancho Sahuarita described me as “friendly and mellow,” something they seemed to really like. Just makes for a good life, right? I liked them, too, including the kids—2, 10 and 13 years old—and other cats and dogs. I’m a beautiful 69-pound Boxer/hound mix lady. I have learned “sit,” “stay,” “out,” know good house manners, how to walk on a leash, ride quietly in a car, and I generally don’t find much to bark about. Oh, and I don’t jump on furniture or people—something else people seem to like. Unfortunately, those nice people had a lease that could not include me. So now I’m hoping you will find me here and take me home to stay. We can be mellow together!
