Hi… my name is Kasey.

Adopted May 5, 2015

My best friend and soul mate, KoKoa, and I have to find a new home because our family outgrew theirs and had to move to a rental that didn’t allow cats. My mom said that I’m her quiet kitty who likes to lie around and be mostly independent, but often will snuggle right beside you sending telepathic messages that I really want to be petted! At the moment I’ve got a “lion cut” because my people didn’t have time to brush my luxurious coat, but when it grows out, I’ll be the handsome fluff ball I’m meant to be. I’m a declawed Ragdoll Siamese gentleman, who’s hoping to stay with KoKoa in my next home, so with the offer the “strong, silent” type of love, how can you go wrong?

Hi… my name is Twilight.

Adopted June 27, 2015

I was found running on Sahuarita Road near the Walden Grove High School with two other dogs. Thankfully we were rescued by a wonderful TALGV volunteer, and, happily for my two companions, their owner arrived immediately to reclaim them. My story, however, is a bit different in that my mom never came for me, so now I’m officially a TALGV dog and am available to brighten up your life! I’m a sweet (but a little sad!) black and white Staffie mix lady, and am hopeful that there will be a caring family out there to help get on with the business of being your best pal.

Hi… my name is Bucky.

Adopted October 19, 2015

My mom found me on Old Nogales Highway when I was only three weeks old. She already had quite a few rescues, but was going to keep me anyway, so when the expenses of keeping a whole lot of hungry mouths fed became too much for her, she decided that I’d be better off in my own place with an active family. I get along with other dogs okay but am not fond of cats, so if you’re looking for a fun-loving guy to spend time with, I’d be an excellent choice if I do say so myself! I’m a handsome, brindle-colored Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who’ll thank you every day for giving me a new start in life.

Hi… my name is Blue,

Adopted April 10, 2016

When you come to shelter with ten other cats, all of which are black (except one!), you figure your chances at getting adopted are petty slim! Well, I’m hoping that TALGV is the special place it is and proves that concept wrong by making sure our attributes and individual virtues are “out there” for all to see! We came from an overcrowded situation, so we’re all keeping pretty low profiles at the moment, but in no time our “real selves” are sure to emerge. I’m said to be very playful (not all of us know how to do that yet it seems!), am 14 months old, with white on my chest and “bikini area,” and am looking for someone special to whisk me away to a new life!

Hi… my name is Cha Cha.

Adopted May 15, 2015

After my dad died, my housemates all found homes immediately, but for some reason, I got overlooked in the “rehoming” department. I’ve been with a foster mom for a while, and she says I’m a real “princess” who isn’t content with just your lap or sofa, but seek out cushy pillows and cushions to lounge on. She said I follow her around the house, never stop wagging my tail, am a real “stitch,” and if she didn’t want to be a “failed foster,” would keep me in a minute. I’m a 7-year-old Chihuahua lady with a charmingly masked face who’ll win your heart in a flash! I may seem a bit shy at TALGV, but get me in a home, and, Katie bar the door, I’m a love machine!

Hi… my name is Bubba.

Adopted July 5, 2015

When I started to hear the dreaded “D” word, I had a feeling my life was going to change. My mom and dad got a divorce, and mom and the kids couldn’t keep me, so I went to live with dad, but I just couldn’t adjust without the security and comfort of my little family, since they really were all I knew and loved in life. That said, given my personality, everyone agrees that once I get into a new active, loving home with lots of attention, all my good qualities will shine through again. My people said I was wonderful with the kids, got along well with my Lab housemate, and was a “great family dog,” so won’t you please give me that one more chance to “just be me”?

Hi… my name is Oreo.

Adopted May 24, 2015

Yippee! I’m soooo happy to have finally arrived at TALGV! I was found way back in April, and since they didn’t have enough space for larger dogs at the time, I was boarded at a kennel for over a month, so I didn’t get to spend a whole lot of “people time” there. At first glance, you might wonder how I got my name since I’m 99% black, but once you see the white icing “filling” on my chest, you’ll understand why they couldn’t have called me anything else! I’m a happy-go-lucky gal, have nice leash manners, and am at a great age (10 months) for learning all sorts of new stuff (the volunteers are working on that), so when you meet me, I’ll bet you’ll resolve to make this cookie your very own!
