Hi… my name is Casper.
Adopted December 3, 2015
Casper comes with FREE Vet Care for Life.
When you’ve lived with twelve other cats and three dogs, you’ve got to be considered a pretty flexible feline, and I am! All of my tribe came to TALGV after my mom went into a nursing home. I had a kidney infection when I arrived and everyone said I was a trooper who maintained my friendly and sweet demenor throughout (and I even got a blue ribbon for being such an cooperative patient!). How many cats can say that?! I’m feeling much better now and am back snuggling with my buddies. I am a bob-tailed, grey and white boy who comes with Free Vet Care for Life. I’m looking for a quiet home with a nice window seat where I can check out the birds and squirrels. Maybe, if you love me, you’ll also consider one of my friends (Brielle or Dundee) for twice the love!
Arrived January 17, 2015.

Since I’ve lived with twelve other cats and three dogs, you know I’m a pretty flexible feline! All of my tribe came to TALGV after my mom went into a nursing home. Because I’m on the shy side, I’m feeling a bit insecure at the moment and spend a good deal of time in a “cat cube” checking things out. My buddies are keeping me company though, and are always willing to climb in and snuggle with me. I’d love to feel safe again in a quiet home with someone who’ll have patience while I get used to my new surroundings. I might spend a few days under a bed, but my sweet, loving personality will eventually shine through! Perhaps you’ll also consider one of my snuggle buddies to keep me company? (Swoosh, Muggles, Dundee, Casper)

I’m happy to report that after being found accompanying a group crossing the border in the Atascosas Mountains, I got to stay! Although the volunteers haven’t tried Spanish commands with me yet, they do say that I’m very responsive to people and curious about the world in general (well, I’m quite the traveler you know!). I walk nicely on leash now and don’t seem a bit interested in the “drama” going on around me in neighboring kennels (I’ve had enough of that in my life thank you!). My other qualities are my unique looks (shepherd with some Basenji-like traits) and wonderfully friendly demeanor. I’m super eager to learn, so it sure would be great to spend the rest of my life in “el Norte” with you!
