Hi… my name is Gismo.

Adopted January 1, 2015.

It seems soul patches are “in” these days so I’m right with the times with the little black pouf under my chin! My family (including three kids and a dog) only had me for a month when they packed up and moved to a place in North Dakota (brrrr!) that didn’t allow pets. They said that I was gentle and tolerant with the kids, loved the dog, and did all the kitten things that we’re known and loved for — “into everything” was what they said, I think! I’m a darling young black and white boy and I’d like to spend the rest of my life charming the socks off you! Come sit with me for just a few minutes and you’ll be hooked!

Arrived December 20, 2014.

Hi… my name is Merry.

Adopted January 29, 2015.

After visiting the ophthalmologist, they determined that I’m blind and probably have been for quite a while. The doctor said that I’d need eye drops for life to keep my eyes comfortable (but that shouldn’t be an issue since at 10 years of age I come with FREE Vet Care for Life — and eye drops are easy!).  My “disability” doesn’t bother me at all, and I adore walks and am an “excellent lap sitter”!  I was fostered for a few days and found my way around the house just fine.  I should really be an only dog, and everyone agrees I’d be perfect for an older person. My “personal classified ad” might read: “senior dog seeking senior human for companionship!” Why not let it be you?

Merry comes with FREE Vet Care for Life.

Hi… my name is Polara.

Adopted May 2, 2015

If ever there were a “before and after” poster child, it’s me! When I was brought in after being found behind Circle K, the volunteers said, “She is a real sweetie but extremely thin, very dirty and has a distended belly.  She’s nothing but skin and bones and eats ANYTHING put in front of her.” But baby you should see me now! I’ve been cleaned up, given all those good meds to get rid of “things,” and am still eating up a storm. And my sweetness just keeps shining through. I’m a medium-haired all white girl, about a year old (they thought I was younger at first because I was so small), and I can promise the outside world will never be a temptation to me if you take me home!

Hi… my name Swan,

Adopted November 15, 2015

I stayed with a foster family for a while, and boy do they have good stuff to say about me! You can “read all about it” at TALGV, but here’s a sampling: “Swan is a sweet, curious girl who has a calm demeanor, is happy just lying around, but will gladly jump up and run outside if she senses you’re (the least bit) willing to play! She’s very smart, learns commands quickly, works hard to please, and thinks she’s a lap dog, often wanting to slather you with kisses. She loves her Kong, chasing water from a hose (making it easy to bathe her!), and adores walks (she’ll run with you if you’re into that!). She gets along great with all people and has eyes that will melt your heart.” So why not come to TALGV and let me melt yours?

Arrived December 6, 2014.

Hi… my name is Felix.

Adopted June 2, 2015

You know there are cats that just LOVE other cats, and then there’s my kind — we’d really prefer to be king of the hill! I did live with another cat for two years, and we got along “meh” as they say, but my mom and dad felt that my occasional “issues” were social ones and that they’d disappear once I never had to look over my shoulder for the “other guy.” They said that I am a very affectionate fellow who loves lap time and am “needy and dependent” (not a “bad” thing — it just means I like to be around you a lot!). I’m an amiable tuxedo guy with a charming “soul patch” who will be forever grateful for one more chance to prove what a lover I am!

RK

Hi… my name is RK.

Adopted June 22, 2015.

“RK is a very curious, intelligent, remarkable cat. He loves people and wants to be around his friends (cats and dogs). RK is a unique fellow who deserves lots of love. He likes people, ear scratches, and helping with chores. He is smart, loyal, and loving.” WHOA — what more can I add to that? I appeared on the doorstep of a family a year ago and they’ve been feeding me outside ever since. Because they didn’t have room in the house for any more rescues, they wanted me to have a safer environment (I’m pretty bold with unknown “critters” they say), so they brought me here when space opened up. I’m a young classic tabby and white boy who, as the song says, will “brighten the corner where you are”!

Arrived December 1, 2014.

Kek

Hi… my name is Kek.

Adopted December 9, 2014.

Don’t ask! I have no idea how I got my name — but my people said, “If you ask him if he’s special, he’ll jump in your lap,” so maybe my name is as unique as I am! My mom passed away on Thanksgiving Day and there was no one to take my sister, Honey, or me in, so we’re back at TALGV hoping we can continue to share our “specialness” together with someone else! My mom’s daughter said that I’m a sweet, curious, friendly guy who loves treats (Temptations especially!), and that I’m both playful and laid back — depending on my mood and yours! I’m a striking, blue-eyed, 4-year-old Siamese and grey tabby mix boy (yes, still a “boy”!) who wants to be nothing but special for YOU (and Honey, too, please)!

Arrived December 1, 2014.

Sasha was adopted December 3, 2014.

SASHA (Xatia) is a cute and sweet mini Staffie mix who was inherited but can’t be kept by new owner. She gets along with other dog but cats are unknown. She knows sit and would learn quickly. She was housebroken in the past but could use more training now. Her shots are up to date and she will be spayed courtesy of TALGV. She dances and prances and would love to share your company and your home. There is no adoption fee for Sasha.

If you would welcome Sasha into a loving home as part of your family, please call Carlota between 8 AM and 8 PM at 1-520-455-8462.

Hi… my name is Sunlight.

Adopted December 19, 2014.

There’s nothing like having a name that you live up to, and boy do I do mine justice! Someone adopted me from PACC a while ago because I was micro-chipped, but the lead didn’t pan out, so I’m here waiting to spread some sunlight in YOUR life! A woman in the Villas East fed me on her patio for about three months, but winter was coming, and since she wasn’t “in the market” for a feline (she had a small dog that I got along swimmingly with though), she brought me here. She said that I was very friendly (well, food and a lap you know!) and she was sure I’d be a wonderful (indoor only please!) companion for some lonesome person. If that’s you, come let me purr sweet nothings in your ear!

Arrived November 25, 2014.
