My full name is Winnie the Pooh, although I don’t look like the storybook character. My bonded companion Tigger and I are at The Animal League awaiting our new home together. It took us a few days to settle in. Kind volunteers have welcomed us, but we know this isn’t our permanent home. We are two handsome boys that would make YOUR home OUR home in the blink of an eye. My tuxedo markings are just perfect! I like to pose for pictures after I’m brushed. (Have to look good for the camera, right?) I’m kitten-like and no snuggle-slouch. What do you say? When dad fell ill I was brought to The Animal League with my buddy Oreo. We weren’t sure what was happening to us, but now that we’ve been here a bit we can see it’s not bad! I’ve learned that the volunteers will pet me and I really like that—I’ll venture out for more. Usually, I’m down low under a cat tree, surveying my new digs to understand what I need to do to find a home again. I’m a gorgeous fluffy Snowshoe, mostly white with brown and grey markings. If you come meet me and give me a chance, I won’t let you down.

A member of the Hotel Litter, I was adopted into a home with two adults and a resident female cat. All was well until my human moved and could only take one pet. Since I had become aggressive towards the female cat, she brought me back to The Animal League. She said that I was a lover, appreciating having my head scratched and being brushed. I was her lap cat and slept near her. Although I was a picky eater, I would extend my paw for treats. Shy, I hid from strangers. At the shelter I’m slowly allowing volunteers to pet me. Never being around children or dogs, perhaps I should be your only pet. How about it?

Milkshake

Hi… my name is Milkshake,

While my name is “Milkshake,” my new nickname since I’ve trimmed down is “Slim Fast,” and I feel great! I’m a happy, friendly pup who just LOVES people. I’m a gal who’ll greet you with a tail wag and stay by your side through thick and thin. I’ve got great house manners, love car rides, and take my naps like a pro. I’ll even go in my crate for a treat—easy peasy! I sit politely for the leash and wait to be invited in—manners matter, right? I can get barky at the doorbell, but once you’re inside, we’re besties. I’m still working on being calm around other dogs on leash, but I’m getting better! Life wasn’t always easy, but it’s all about second chances and spreading joy. Come meet me—I’ll be your new best friend!
