Adopted 5-15-24

Rambo is a sweet and affectionate 4-year-old, 35-pound terrier mix male who needs a new home. He is crate trained, leash trained, and has some obedience training (responds to sit, stay, no jumping, and no barking). He will also respond to some hand signals and will jump and spin when excited to see you. He is housebroken and would use a doggy door. He is in good health, neutered, and up to date on shots. Rambo usually gets along with other dogs and cats; young children are unknown. He enjoys playing in the yard and loves to play with a Kong toy filled with small milkbone. He prefers a quiet, low-key home and respects household items. There is no adoption fee for this special boy. If you will welcome Rambo into a loving home as part of your family, please call Robert after 10:30 a.m. at 520-777-7676.

Hi… my name is Spots (aka Jeff),

Someone went for the obvious instead of creativity when naming me – LOL! I was adopted and loved for two years, but due to no fault of mine, I’m back and ready to win hearts again. I’m currently crashing with another TALGV dog buddy in a foster home, where I enjoy walks, car rides, and showing off my Master’s degree in house and leash manners. I’m the ideal combo of medium energy and expert-level lounging. Got household chores? I’ll help! My motto: “It doesn’t get clean without Spots!” I’m a little cautious with new folks, but once you pass the vibe check, I’m all in. Cuddles? Yes. Loyalty? Absolutely. Cats? Nope, sorry. I do like other dogs, but can be bossy – it’s the heeler in me. Adopt me and guarantee—everywhere you go, you’ll see Spots!
If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Peanut (aka Peanut Butter),

Adopted 8-3-24

Foster Mom says: My brother and I are sweet, affectionate puppies who are a delight to be around and care for. We are comfortable in our crate and will go into it often. We are very attached to one another.  We play together and sleep on top of one another. We refuse to eat from separate bowls or if we are in separate rooms. We love to race through the house and yard and will share everything. Although only 8 weeks old, we will respond to our names and some commands fairly consistently.  We will “follow” stop biting/chewing with “no bite,” give kisses, and we are now working on “sit.”  We will always come when you whistle for us.  We also practice putting on and wearing our harnesses for short periods in preparation for walking on a leash. We are 90% potty trained and sometimes ask to go out. We are teething and are curious about everything so need a puppy-proofed environment to keep us safe along with your possessions.   (May 2,2024)

Hi… my name is Leila,

Adopted 5-20-24

My feet were killing me, and I needed help. Being a friendly girl,   I headed down a driveway hoping to find someone at home. There was! I was brought to TALGV where I received medical attention for my sore paw pads. There wasn’t a room available, so the kind lady took me home until there was. I loved running and playing with their dogs and was fine with the cats. I have asked to go out, and know how to “sit,” “wait,” and “lay down.” I’m “so-so” when left alone. If I want to be with someone, or I’m scared, I’ll climb over a fence. When frightened, I’ll easily respond when reassured. With firm, but loving training I will make you proud and love you forever. I talk “hound,” but I’m practically bilingual! So, let’s talk “adoption!”

COMES WITH VET CAR SUPPORT FOR LIFE

I’m a gorgeous girl with long silver and white fur and pale green eyes. Since I’m 13 years old, I have Vet Care Support for Life. For nine years I lived with a lady and my sister, but that ended and we came to The Animal League. A nice lady saw me and adopted me. We lived together for four years, and she even let me sleep on her bed. Unfortunately, the lady passed away, and now I’m back here hoping someone will want me again. I’m basically a lap cat, and I do like my dry food. Although being back here is very upsetting for me, I’m adjusting!

Hi… my name is Clover,

Adopted 6-3-24

Although my siblings and I were once tiny puppies without a home, we were also twice blessed: our mom was with us and we were brought to The Animal League! Here we’ve been safe and loved, and have quickly become the happy, active pups we are today. I’m Clover, the beautiful tan and white female with deep brown eyes. Along with my siblings, I’m said to be doing well on daily walks on leash, and we continue to learn commands and other things good dogs know.  Since we’re already experts at having fun, I say the future is bright. Of course, I’m hoping my future will be in my forever home, loved and guided by a very special someone. If you could be my someone—the one who chooses me—please visit soon.
