MAX is a friendly, sweet, and obedient 10-year-old, 36-pound, Whippet male that needs a new home. His female companion Whippet died last Fall and his senior owners died recently. He is great on a leash, is house trained (asks to go out), and likes to use a doggy door. He is neutered, in good health, and up to date on shots. He has gotten along with children over age 9 and female dogs, but he really dislikes cats. The ideal home for Max would be with another whippet, a yard, and a doggy door. He is a loving and loyal companion that needs someone who is mostly at home. There is no adoption fee. She is house broken and asks to go out. She is leash trained but missing hind leg limits her activity. She takes medication (will be sponsored if needed), is spayed, and medical records are available. She gets along with cats but not other dogs; children are unknown. After being found in Arivaca, I looked like I’d been through the wars. I was brought to The Animal League where I was checked over, treated and made to feel safe and at home. After all that, my true self shone through proving that I’m a gentle, calm and sweet girl. I walk well on a leash and understand the commands “sit” and “leave it.” I’m an approximately 2-year-old, white, female Husky with beautiful blue eyes that seem to look deep into your soul. I travel well in a car and enjoy going on fun outings. I passed the “cat test” and seem to show an interest in children. There is another thing I’m interested in, my own forever home. All I offer and ask of you in return is love and companionship forever.

What’s a girl like me gotta do to get adopted? My volunteer friends figured out what I knew all along: I really enjoy other dogs! Since I’m a big, confident girl, I can unintentionally intimidate shy dogs, but if you have a friendly, social dog, I’d love a buddy to play with. House manners? I aced them when I was in a foster home. I’m a total pro at house life — cuddles, calm time, comfy beds, I loved it all. I’m strong on leash, sure, but give me a backyard and I’m perfectly happy exploring, sunbathing, and being your resident homebody.
