Adopted 3-31-24

CRISTINA is a mellow and sweet 13-year-old, 50-pound, Spaniel mix girl who needs a new home. Her owner has died and her long-time veterinarian has taken responsibility for her. She is house broken and asks to go out. She is leash trained but missing hind leg limits her activity. She takes medication (will be sponsored if needed), is spayed, and medical records are available. She gets along with cats but not other dogs; children are unknown. Cristina likes sunbathing and relaxing with her person. Her caretaker will sponsor professional training to help her become your loyal companion. There is no adoption fee. If you will welcome Cristina into a loving home as part of your family, please call Andrea any time (evening preferred) at 520-403-3685 or 520-649-9866.

Hi… my name is Diamond,

Adopted 4-27-24

After being found in Arivaca, I looked like I’d been through the wars. I was brought to The Animal League where I was checked over, treated and made to feel safe and at home. After all that, my true self shone through proving that I’m a gentle, calm and sweet girl. I walk well on a leash and understand the commands “sit” and “leave it.” I’m an approximately 2-year-old, white, female Husky with beautiful blue eyes that seem to look deep into your soul. I travel well in a car and enjoy going on fun outings. I passed the “cat test” and seem to show an interest in children. There is another thing I’m interested in, my own forever home. All I offer and ask of you in return is love and companionship forever.

Hi… my name is Teana,

Adopted 1-25-26

What’s a girl like me gotta do to get adopted? My volunteer friends figured out what I knew all along: I really enjoy other dogs! Since I’m a big, confident girl, I can unintentionally intimidate shy dogs, but if you have a friendly, social dog, I’d love a buddy to play with. House manners? I aced them when I was in a foster home. I’m a total pro at house life — cuddles, calm time, comfy beds, I loved it all. I’m strong on leash, sure, but give me a backyard and I’m perfectly happy exploring, sunbathing, and being your resident homebody. Please…don’t judge me by my loud kennel barking — I just want people to notice me. Ask to meet me outside the kennel, and you’ll see it: I’m pure perfection, just waiting to be picked.

Hi… my name is Newman,

Adopted with Nina 3-30-24

My life began in a parking lot at Safeway, but it got better. I was adopted with my bonded companion, Nina, and had a good year or so. Our owner died, though, so we are here looking for a new home together. I’m very outgoing and like children. When I want attention, I will meow for it!  I’ve been hanging out by the door here to meet whoever comes by. When I get attention, I’ll rub your face.  I like being petted and brushed. I have medium-length fur that is white and grey. If you are looking for two sweet companions, look no further than us. Come meet us right away.

Hi… my name is Nina,

Adopted with Newman 3-30-24

My life began on the streets in Amado, but it got better.  I was adopted with my bonded companion, Newman, and had a good year or so. Our owner died, though, so we are here looking for a new home together.  I’m a little shyer than Newman, but I have acclimated to The Animal League very well.  When I want attention I will meow for it!  I like being petted and brushed.  I have medium-length fur that is white and grey, like Newman, but you can tell us apart by our noses:  mine is grey and Newman’s is white.  If you are looking for two sweet companions, look no further than us.

Hi… my name is Cassie,

Adopted 4-6-24

Life can be lots of fun when you’re an Australian Cattle Dog like me!  Blessed with boundless energy, I’m a smart and loyal dog, who finds my people easy to love. I can run like the wind and enjoy lots of lively play, but my favorite thing is being with someone who loves me back, whether we’re going for long walks, playing ball or frisbee, or I’m curling up at your feet.  I will ask to go outside, have learned to sit, stay, and fetch (especially with treats), and have been crate trained.  My TALGV friends say I’m an exceptionally sweet dog, but I do not get along with cats. You can also call me a Blue Heeler—an especially beautiful Blue my friends say—but my biggest hope is that you’ll call me yours.
