Hi… my name is Scout,

Adopted 4-20-23

When people found me roaming around in the area near the Dollar Tree, it was already after hours at TALGV. Since they didn’t want to leave me in the parking lot, they invited me to stay the night with them and their family dog. I’m a happy, outgoing boy and I’ve had no problem making friends. I like everyone! I may have had previous training because I walk pretty well on a leash, “sit” when told, and possibly know more commands. Just ask me! I’m at my happiest when I get regular mental stimulation and exercise. I enjoy a challenge! I’m very intelligent and energetic, so continuing training and participation in activities would make me one happy dog. So would a home of my own with a family who shares my enthusiasm for life!

Lego is a super chilled-out 4-year-old, 70-pound Red Husky male who needs a new home.He is crate trained, leash trained, and obedience trained (sit, lay down, roll over, kennel, and more). He is housebroken and asks to go out. He is in good health, neutered, up to date on shots, and medical records are available. Lego gets along with older children; babies are unknown; he does not care for cats and would be best as an only pet. He is energetic and would be a great running partner. There is no adoption fee for this fun-loving boy. If you will welcome Lego into a loving home as part of your family, please call Jason between 8 AM and 6 PM at 641-903-0389.

Hi… my name is Baby,

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

I’ve had a few ‘homes’ in the past and haven’t found the right one yet. But now my hopes are high! My TALGV friends tell me I’m adorable, and they even think it’s cute that I need a nightlight at bedtime and prefer to eat my meals in bed. We dogs need exercise, structure, and companionship, and that last one is my favorite. That’s why I so appreciate the wonderful care, love, and attention I receive here—the playtime, walks, and, best of all, lots of cuddling. I’m a 10-year-old Chihuahua female with Vet Care Support for Life, who just wants a safe and loving place of my own. Maybe you’ve heard the saying “Nobody puts Baby in the corner.” Well, I say the only places I belong are in your heart and home.

Hi… my name is Frank,

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION WITH BONDED COMPANION FRANCES

I’m a happy-go-lucky, four-year-old, white poodle mix that was found with my bestie, Frances. It was dark and scary when someone noticed us in the road by Anamax Park and brought us here. If not for this kindness, I’m not sure if I could’ve protected Frances from the creatures of the desert or the cars whizzing by—but I sure would’ve tried. We are lost without each other, so we will need to be adopted together. Not to worry, though, our big hearts have room for you, too. TALGV volunteers say we are mellow, enjoy kissy-faced moments, other dogs, and children. We will need your instruction on basic commands but are so eager to please. Remember, great things come in pairs: shoes, earrings, Peanut Butter & Jelly, and, of course, . . . Frank and Frances.

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Tom

Hi… my name is Tom,

Adopted 4-10-23

Running through pecan trees with my buddies was fun at first. Until we got hungry, thirsty, and our matted, overgrown coats couldn’t keep us warm at night. Then a kind woman entered our lives, picked us up and brought us here, where I’m loving the comforts—regular food, a soft bed, friendly people, and even my spiffy new haircut. I was very shy at my first medical exam, leery about being picked up, but plucked up my courage and tolerated it well.  No doubt I need some training, being on a leash is new to me, but I’m so willing to try. At just about 12-1/2 pounds, I wouldn’t take up much room in your house, but maybe a big place in your heart.  And you in mine. Can we meet and find out?

Hi… my name is Dick,

Then a kind woman entered our lives, picked us up and brought us here, where I’m loving the comforts—regular food, a soft bed, friendly people, and even my spiffy new haircut. Medical staff said I was shy at my intake but did very well overall. I’m also discovering there are things I need to learn, including how to walk on a leash, and the volunteers here are helping me. I’m a 2-year-old male, and at just about 14-1/2 pounds I wouldn’t take up much room in your house, but maybe a big place in your heart. And you in mine. Can we meet and find out?

Hi… my name is Harry,

Adopted 4-8-23

Running through pecan trees with my buddies was fun at first. Until we got hungry, thirsty, and our matted, overgrown coats couldn’t keep us warm at night. Then a kind woman entered our lives, picked us up and brought us here, where I’m loving the comforts—regular food, a soft bed, friendly people, and even my spiffy new haircut. I’m happy to say I was described as “cooperative and settled” on my initial medical exam, but I’m discovering there are things I need to learn, including how to walk on a leash, and the volunteers are helping me. I’m a 4-year-old male, and at just 9 pounds I wouldn’t take up much room in your house, but maybe a big place in your heart. And you in mine. Can we meet and find out?

Hi… my name is Rook,

Adopted with Franc 4-8-23

My early life has been a little topsy-turvy. Mom gave birth under a house to me and my siblings, and a nice neighbor brought us to The Animal League. I was adopted with another kitten named Franc and we were doing great until mom got sick and had to move. Here we are again, looking for a new home together. We’re still young at heart and I’m very friendly. I will come right out of my cubby and follow the volunteers around looking for attention. I get along with everyone! Mom said I liked to sleep with her and watch TV. Franc and I can be an instant family for you—how about it?
