Animal League News

Hi… my name is Gavin,

Adopted 2-8-23

It is said that deaf dogs hear with their hearts. I know that is definitely true for me! My friends here say that not only do I appear to be listening when they talk to me, but I also seem to understand what they are saying. I like just about anyone who comes to visit me here, especially when they sit with me and I can curl up to them and have my belly rubbed or my ears scratched. Several volunteers have complimented me for paying close attention to them when we are out and about, and for being well behaved on a leash. I was also introduced to the play yard and I can’t even tell you how much fun that was! I made some doggie friends and hope to meet more! Will you be my friend?

Hi… my name is McGee,

Adopted 1-15-23

As a kitten I was brought to The Animal League by a worker on McGee Ranch Road who rescued me from two buzzards flying overhead! After a couple of months at The Animal League I was adopted by a gentleman. I shared his home with him and another cat. We got along very well together. Sadly, my human passed away, and I was returned here to await my next home. I used to like to play and cuddle with my human, but I’m somewhat shy now, trying to figure out why my life suddenly changed. Given time I’m sure to be the same fine companion with my new human. Will that be you? Please come meet me!

Note: My baby pictures are at the end of the gallery.

Hi… my name is Oreo,

Adopted with Stiltskin 2-11-23

“Home is where the Air Force takes you” is a slogan that doesn’t apply to felines. My humans have been stationed in Japan the past four years, so I’ve stayed with family in the States. I lived with a single person as an only pet. It’s not known how I’d be with children or dogs. Since family in the U.S. can no longer care for me, I’m here awaiting my next home. I like to run and jump. I like to be brushed. I prefer open doors to closed doors. I sometimes like to sleep in closets. If you’re looking for a friendly companion, I’m your guy! Please come meet me!

Hi… my name is Smiley,

Adopted 11-21-22

I am a petite young lady who showed up at a house in Tucson. So, not much is known about my early life. I stayed inside the laundry room until the kind people brought me here to The Animal League.  Since they could not care for me, that was a good decision. They said I seemed tame and didn’t bite or scratch them. Well, no. I behave myself because I want my own home. I love to be petted by the volunteers. I purr when I’m held close for loving. I’m really sweet, and I’m a beauty. Won’t you please come meet me? I have so much love to give you!

Hi… my name is Maxie,

Adopted 11-23-22

I’m assuming Maxie is the nickname for Max. I am “all boy.” I love to play. I love toys. I love people. I became too active for my senior mom to handle so she brought me to The Animal League knowing that I would be adopted into a good home. Could that be yours? I have lived with another kitten just fine. In fact, I prefer to play with another feline my age. Of course, you could charm me with a wand toy. I love to play! I have a great temperament. I’m just waiting for YOU!  Please come meet me and let’s see if we’re a match. I’d love to go home with you!

If you are considering adoption, stop in at TALGV to meet me soon. Or you may  call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make an appointment. Kennel hours are between 10 and 2 every day.
