Hi… my name is Millie,

Adopted 2-20-20

Hello world! I’m so thankful that a kind man picked me up on La Canada and brought me to TALGV. I knew immediately that whatever happened to me, I wouldn’t be alone. Now I have a foster Mom who takes care of me, and she said my house-training is a work in progress. She is pleased to say that I sleep all night in my crate. I’m a happy, 4-month-old, Doberman/Lab mix girl that loves everyone I meet. I also get along with other dogs and cats. An early education of basic obedience commands and leash training will enable me to grow into a well-behaved member of your family. It is said the eyes are the windows to the soul. Mine are green! Please peek in and maybe you’ll see that our souls connect.

Hi… my name is Lizzie,

Adopted 6-27-18

Comes with Free Vet Care for Life

I was adopted from TALGV 8-1/2 years ago (when I was 3), and the only reason I’m back is because my beloved person died. I like to think she’d be pleased with the nice things people say about me here—that I’m very friendly, lovable, and “seem younger than my stated age.” Even on my intake exam—temperature-taking and everything—the medical folks said I was cheerful, totally cooperative, and an “absolutely wonderful dog.” Being an 11-1/2-year-old Shepherd/Doberman mix female, (who comes with Free Vet Care for Life!), I’ve learned some important things, like how to walk on a leash, “ask” to go outside, and, best of all, how to appreciate and love my person with my whole heart. So here’s my big question: May I please have a forever place in your heart?

Hi… my name is Muchi,

Adopted 2-4-17

Muchi comes with FREE Vet Care for Life!

There used to be a TV show about women of a certain age who found a lot of pleasure in life. I could be their dog. I’m in my golden years, too, and still know how to enjoy every day. The woman who rescued me from a Sahuarita road—the kindest of strangers, who reached out to help me when I was lost—said she found me to be very sweet and gentle. The volunteers here agree with that description; I say it’s easy to be so agreeable because I truly love the company of people. When you’re lucky enough to have a comfortable place to stay and a caring friend by your side, life is good. I’m a black and tan Doberman mix female, who’d love to spend every golden day with you.

Hi… my name is Tyke,

Adopted October 11, 2015

I’m the first to admit I’m shy. If something happened to make me shy, it remains a mystery because I was found out on the street, all alone, without a history to share. That’s okay, though, because I love the company here and my shyness doesn’t stop me from appreciating new friends. TALGV volunteers take me for walks and spend extra time visiting with me, letting me know I’m safe. And it turns out that sometimes, when you really feel safe, you can start being your true, happy self. I’m a 3-year-old Dobie mix male with a sharp-looking black and tan coat, and bright, hopeful eyes. If you’re the special someone who can see my brilliant potential and give me the home of my dreams, you’re the one I’m hoping to see real soon.

Hi… my name is Ricardo.

Adopted October 11, 2014.

You have to meet me in person to appreciate what a big guy I am (85 pounds!), as my pictures don’t quite do my size justice. The Wal-Mart parking lot seems to have been getting its share of strays lately, and I’m one of them. Maybe I escaped from a car (although the windows would have had to be been WAY down for that!), or maybe I was abandoned, but I’m here now in all my glory, waiting to find a “big dog” family (with plenty of space!) looking for a guy like me to love. I’m a handsome shepherd/Doberman mix, about 4 years old, and the volunteers say that I’m a quiet fellow and a “true gentle giant.” Why not come see for yourself – it might just be love at first sight!

Hi… my name is Blackie.

I was adopted on August 21, 2014.
After my dad had a stroke a while back, he found that he just wasn’t able to care for me any longer. It was super hard for him to make the decision to bring me here as he rescued me in Mexico three years ago and we have been best buddies since (he said, “A very lucky person will get this dog because he likes any human who shows an interest in him!”). I’m a little on the skinny side right now (even though I eat well) as I have tick fever, but I’m now getting medicine for that and should be fine in no time. I’m a lanky Doberman/shepherd mix boy who is well mannered in the house and on a leash. I get along great with everyone, so why not you?
