Hi… my name is Bubbles,

Adopted 1-22-17

In an empty lot, surrounded by bushes and trash, I gave birth to eight puppies! Thankfully, I was able to provide for them, but had to forage for my own food. That’s what I was doing on an I-19 exit when a man saw me, stopped and came back, and I led him to my babies. He was like our angel, putting us in his car and bringing us here—taking us from lost to loved! The volunteers say I’ve continued to be a wonderfully devoted mom while my little ones grow and play. And I’m growing, too! I arrived terribly underweight, but now enjoy lots of nutritious food every day. I’m a Heeler/Lab mix with an interesting past, ready for a carefree, happy future in which I give my sweet devotion to you!

Hi… my name is Atticus (aka Rotini),

Adopted 1-7-17

Our family is splitting in two and their new places won’t have room for my sister Q-tip or me. It’s a big change, but a big chance, too. Here, I could meet my forever best friend—one or more—and start sharing the good life with them! I’m 11 months old, a friendly, loyal Heeler mix who has developed some excellent qualities. My former owner said I was “great with cats,” (I hear not everyone can say that), know some important commands, and love to cuddle. But I’m most interested in you—or let’s say “us,” because I think we could have lots of fun and enjoy life just by being together. A handsome black and white male, about 55 pounds, I’m ready to be your devoted companion for a long, happy time.

Hi… my name is Q-tip (aka Dixie),

Adopted 1-7-17

When I was first adopted, I was part of a litter found in the desert and weighed just 8 pounds! Today, I’m a 55-pound, 17-month-old who’s learned a thing or two. Unfortunately, my family is splitting up and their new places won’t have room for my buddy Atticus or me. (We’ve lived together for the last year or so.) But I’m optimistic! After all, it’s a good thing to have some training under your belt, right? I know some important commands, and my former owners said I was good in the house even when they were gone. They described me as a “playful, loyal cuddler,” and said I was “great with cats!” Brindle and white, I’m a Heeler mix female who hopes my next home is my forever home with someone wonderful like you!

Hi… my name is Cyera,

Adopted 1-30-17

There once was a group of dogs who lived a hard knock life. I know because I was one of them. We had each other, but were never allowed in the house—no matter the weather. And even as puppies, we worked hard just to stay safe. Then, one magical day, our lives changed. Friendly, gentle people came to visit, brought us yummy treats, and helped us move. Today I live indoors, eat well, and sleep on a comfy bed. There’s a change in my heart, too, because now I dare to dream of my very own home—a place where people will want me to play, have fun, and share their happy life. I’m a very loving 15-month-old rust Heeler female, and you’ll become my hero forever the day you make me yours!

Hi… my name is Tara,

Adopted 11-1-16

How did I become lost? We don’t know. Fortunately, I’m a forward-looking kind of dog, so I’m focused on the future, the happy day when I have a home with someone wonderful like you! What kind of canine companion will I be? Well, I’m good with lots of activities—walking, playing, running, I can usually keep up! People also say I’m clever, alert and brave—I hope you think those are good qualities, too. But, most of all, I need to find a place in your heart. My inclination is to be very loyal to my person, so it’s important to me that you love me back. Together, we’ll be a great team! I’m a 1-year-old tricolored Blue Heeler mix female, 35 pounds, who’ll work real hard to be the dog that you love.

Pi

Hi… my name is Pi,

Adopted 12-3-16

Pi has earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate.

Dogs love human companionship. Trust me, I know! So, when I was found wandering alone and my former owners said they didn’t have time for me anymore, well, we agreed it’s best I find a new home. They said I was gentle and tolerant with children, and the volunteers here will tell you about my other good behavior—on a leash, in the car. Indeed, I performed so well on some behavior tests that I’ve earned the AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate! Does that make me special? Yeah, they say so, but you know what I say would be even better? Earning my place in your heart. I’m a 3-1/2-year-old Boxer/Heeler mix, a handsome brindle male, about 60 pounds, who’d like to be your one and only canine—your well-behaved, loving, faithful companion forever!

Hi… my name is Checho,

Adopted 9-5-17

Not long ago I lived in terror, chained in a yard and beaten with a stick so severely that I lost one of my legs. Some Good Samaritans documented the abuse and when it went viral on social media, I was removed from that place. Although they’re being prosecuted, my former owners threatened to take me back, so TALGV promised to find me a home with a compassionate soul instead. I’m a 2-year-old, 40-pound heeler/terrier mix, and despite what I’ve been through, my rescuers said I’m learning to trust humans again, and am an obedient, submissive, loyal, handsome boy with only love to give. If you can give me a safe and loving home, please call TALGV at 520-625-3170 so we can meet! I promise there’ll be a “star in your crown” for your kindness.

Arrived September 17, 2016
