Hi… my name is Estrella,

Adopted 7-1-20

My name means “star,” and in this case that comes in the form of an adorable 7-year-old Lab mix girl. The lady I previously lived with thought I was a little more “dog” than she could handle. I can sit when treats are involved, and it seems I know the command “leave it” when distracted. My foster Mom said that I love people and like most dogs. I’m house trained, use the doggie door, and walk well on a leash. I like car rides, but I don’t behave well when I see people and dogs on the sidewalk, so we’re working on that little problem. Some basic obedience training would be helpful. Please consider letting me become the star that could brighten your home and your life.

Hi… my name is Sierra,

Transferred to Lab Rescue 5-2-20

I’m a tall, 18-month-old Lab mix girl that’s now attending classes so I can present myself in a ladylike manner. After being dropped off (dumped), found, and finally brought to TALGV, I needed help settling down. I am learning how much fun and relaxing it is to sniff out treats that have been well hidden throughout the room. Even though it seems like a game, I get instant rewards for a job well done. I’m becoming comfortable with each of my trainers who reinforce (non-verbally) the basic commands I’m being taught, like sit, wait, find it, catch, down, and say hello. It seems I’m not only good looking but I’m also intelligent. I’m hopeful that, with continued training, someone will notice me. If you’re willing and patient, that someone could be you.

Hi… my name is Flicker,

Adopted 3-11-20

It all started in a box by the side of the road. My seven siblings and I were rescued and brought to TALGV. After a while, I was put in foster until I was adopted by a family with three children ranging in age from 4 to 14 years. I’m a happy Lab mix boy that loves to play, and that seems to be the problem; I was “too playful” with the kids. Puppies can get over excited and that sometimes leads to rambunctious play. We also need early behavioral training, and I appear to have very little. If you have lots of love and patience, you are the person for me. Please adopt me and help me learn basic commands and how to be playful in the proper way.

Hi… my name is Twilight,

Adopted with Midnight 5-21-20

My sister, Midnight, and I were brought here by relatives after our “Mom” passed away. They couldn’t keep us, but TALGV was the best place they could think of. I’m a 7 ½-year-old female Lab/Shepherd mix that is gentle and docile but also quite shy. It takes us both a while to warm up to strangers. After spending time with other animals and four children ages 2-8 years old and then coming here, we’re learning how to adjust to new surroundings. With the patient volunteers here and all the attention we get, I believe we are making progress. Naturally visitors are welcome. Please consider taking a look; you might like what you see.

Hi… my name is Midnight,

Adopted with Twilight 5-21-20

My sister, Twilight, and I were staying with relatives after our “Mom” passed away. Sadly they couldn’t keep us, so they did the best thing they could and brought us to TALGV. I’m a 7 ½- year-old Lab/ Shepherd mix girl that is docile, gentle and tolerant. When we arrived here it became obvious that we were both shy. It takes us a while to warm up to people. We have been around other animals and four children ages 2-8 years old. The patient volunteers here have been spending time with us to help us come out of our shells. My sister is a little more outgoing than me, but I also love to get attention. I think we are making great progress. Please come and see for yourself.

Hi… my name is Millie,

Adopted 2-20-20

Hello world! I’m so thankful that a kind man picked me up on La Canada and brought me to TALGV. I knew immediately that whatever happened to me, I wouldn’t be alone. Now I have a foster Mom who takes care of me, and she said my house-training is a work in progress. She is pleased to say that I sleep all night in my crate. I’m a happy, 4-month-old, Doberman/Lab mix girl that loves everyone I meet. I also get along with other dogs and cats. An early education of basic obedience commands and leash training will enable me to grow into a well-behaved member of your family. It is said the eyes are the windows to the soul. Mine are green! Please peek in and maybe you’ll see that our souls connect.

Hi… my name is Pisces,

Adopted 1-25-20

I’m one of ten puppies in the “Zodiac litter.” We appear to be a Lab/Catahoula mix born on November 6, 2019, and released to TALGV on January 13, 2020. I’m a little boy and probably have Labrador in my parentage. Labahoulas are considered friendly and affectionate from the Lab, and protective and highly active from the Catahoula side. According to descriptions of Labahoulas, we can be expected to be 50 – 95 pounds, in need of space and exercise, consistent training, and socialization.
