Hi… my name is Mesquite,

Adopted 3-14-22

I am part of a litter of six who came to TALGV when we were only four weeks old. Thankfully, we were very well taken care of by foster parents who fed us, kept us warm, and, most importantly, loved us. We are now ready to find our forever homes. I am the only brown pup in a littler of black siblings. I love to explore (I once tried the cover on the swimming pool…) and was the first to follow “mom” outside to go potty. She says that’s very good for someone as young as me! Like all puppies, I love to give puppy kisses. Can you come to cuddle so I can give you some and then you take me home?

Hi… my name is Birch,

Adopted 3-15-22

I am part of a litter of six who came to TALGV when we were only four weeks old. Thankfully, we were very well taken care of by foster parents who fed us, kept us warm, and, most importantly, loved us. We are now ready to find our forever homes. My foster parents say I am a cuddle bug. I like to sit with them, be held, play with my sister and them. We got to meet a lot of neighbors and liked them all. I have learned to follow “mom” outside to go potty and she says that’s very good for someone so young! Like all puppies, I love to give puppy kisses. Can you come to cuddle so I can give you some and then you take me home?

Hi… my name is Colleen,

Adopted 4-3-22

In Ireland a colleen is a young girl! I wonder, does that also include adorable young female puppies? I’m a Lab mix, about two months old, and quite a smart and pretty “lass.” My brother Casey and I arrived here after we were found running loose near the Circle K. Casey has gone to his new home now, so I REALLY need to find a home of my own. You probably already know puppies can be a lot of work, but if you’re a patient and loving person, you’ll do fine. I’m almost potty trained and you can teach me the basic commands. As a reward for helping me grow into a well-mannered adult, I promise to be a faithful companion and a beloved member of your family. If you can promise me love and kindness in return…I’m yours!

Hi… my name is Maple,

Adopted 2-5-22

The little rascal is a cuddle bug and growing like a weed. Maple’s favorite toy, besides his brother Cedar, is a box… a plain cardboard box, just high enough for him to fit into and play or climb on top of when he wants to be picked up. He liked a soft toy with a string tail (which he promptly removed before disemboweling the stuffed critter). At times he entertains himself with chew toys. He gives lots of puppy kisses and snuggles up to people, much to the delight of everyone. When he is out of the pen, he has been observed to return there to do his business on the pad. Smart fellow!

Hi… my name is Cedar,

Adopted 3-5-22

The little rascal is a cuddle bug and growing like a weed. Cedar’s favorite toy, besides his brother Maple, is a box… a plain cardboard box, just high enough for him to fit into and play or climb on top of when he wants to be picked up. He is not big into chew toys unless they are being held by the person whose hand he would rather play with. He is more into being held and talked to. He gives lots of puppy kisses and looks at everyone without fear. Cedar is an adventurous little fellow, too. He likes to explore and shows little fear of anything. Except the vacuum, that is.

Hi… my name is Ryan,

Adopted 9-9-22

Even though I’m a big strong boy, I’m still a youngster, in other words… a pup! That often means I play a little too rough. I’m crate trained, already know how to sit, ask to go out, and use a doggie door. When walking by active barking dogs (about 25’) I’m mildly reactive, but I know how to respond, when told assertively, to the command “leave it.” I’m fair on a leash and will benefit with further training to learn not to pull. With my young (short) attention span, I’ll need reminders to focus on my handler to know what’s expected of me. I’m well worth the work if you’re willing, and once you’ve earned my trust I’ll be your faithful and loving companion for life.

NOTE: Ryan has been social, tolerant, and playful when meeting other dogs in TALGV’s playgroup. He would like to meet any resident dogs before adoption to your home.

Hi… my name is June Bug,

Adopted with Cricket 2-12-22

My brother Cricket and I were taken in by a nice neighbor after our people passed away. There they had lots of animals and said we both got along well with them. They said I was good with their children of various ages and liked to play with them. I know that I need to learn a few things yet, like coming when called and to sit and stay and that kind of stuff. I walk pretty well on a leash, but I’ve been told there’s some room for improvement. I am a big cuddle bug and, yes, I know, big is the operative word here! If you don’t mind a lovable lab/heeler mix snuggling in next to you on the couch, I’m your girl!

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Buck,

Adopted 1-8-22

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

Until recently I lived with my “dad,” who gave me all the care I needed. Now, sadly he’s unable to take care of me. Like any good dad, he did what was best for his boy, and allowed TALGV to take care of me and my “special needs.” (I’m covered by Vet Care Support for Life). I’m a 14-year-old Labrador, with a sweet disposition, who’s physically disabled. My paralysis doesn’t stop me from getting into my wheels, and heading out for my walks. I enjoy this activity because it’s not only good exercise, but it also gets me out of the house for a while. Socialization is good for the spirit, and I love being around people. I’m now being fostered in the home of a good friend. Even though life may be short, loving care lasts for an eternity!

Hi… my name is Tommy,

Adopted 2-17-22

After a short stay at TALGV I moved into foster care, and it’s   just what I need… caring people to teach me the basics of living in a home. I know the commands “wait” and “sit” and love going for long walks (as an individual or in a pack). I’m currently sharing the home with the two resident dogs. It seems I may be a bit of a toy hog, but I remain a true gentleman. I’m well behaved, enjoy the company of people, and I’ve been loving towards my foster’s granddaughter. I’m still working on my greeting skills, but I’m never aggressive or prone to jump. My foster mom says I’m a “joy” to have in their home. I could be the joy in yours!

Hi… my name is Andy,

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

I’ve been asked to tell you about myself so here goes! First of all, you may like to know that since I’ve been at TALGV for a while, I come with Vet Care Support for Life. Next, I have good friends, especially my Foster Mom and Dad. The other three dogs at my foster home are my friends now, too, and although I’m a big, energetic guy who can play rough, I’m learning to play with them individually. At “night-night” I get in my crate and also understand words like “sit,” “down,” and lots more. Favorite game? Go get the ball, of course! Foster Mom calls me a fast learner and a super loving dog. I’m still a bit anxious and very stubborn but am able to relax and have fun with a loving family. In my heart I know they care about me and that makes everything possible. Could you and I care about each other? Let’s meet and find out!

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.
