Hi… my name is Loraine,

Adopted 9-3-20

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life

I am a medium-size, female Afghan hound mix. When my coat grows back it will be long and silky. I am shy at first, but if you give me a few minutes to check you out, we can soon become friends. Just look into my eyes and you will know my story. I get along with just about anyone, humans and dogs alike, but I am not fond of the really small ones. Too hyper, you know? I like it quiet and peaceful. You, too? Can you come and meet me? I’d love a home where I can sit next to someone, go on walks together, and perhaps you can tell me your story, too: I am a real good listener!

Hi… my name is Adobe,

Adopted 9-17-20

My family could no longer keep me, so when I arrived at TALGV, with my former roommate, Phishy, I didn’t know what to expect. Now that Phishy has been adopted, I’m ready to find my own forever home. I’m a lovable 7-year-old Lab mix boy who walks well on a leash and rides well in a car. I’m more than willing to please and I really enjoy attention. I use the doggie door and it appears I’m housetrained. I’m a sociable lad and I might even like a companion to play with. If you’re an affectionate person, looking for an addition to your family, and have an abundance of love to offer, please make an appointment to meet me. Any and all affection you lavish upon me will be reciprocated. That’s a promise!

Hi… my name is Peri,

Adopted 10-3-20

I’m a medium-size female shepherd mix whose foster Dad sings my praises! Here are some of the beautiful things he told me to share with you: “Peri has a sweet, affectionate personality, is smart and well behaved in the house, and she sleeps in her own bed next to mine. She likes my cats, but they refused her invitation to play. She walks well on leash and responds to ‘leave it!’ when she starts to bark at another dog. I’ve been able to leave her by herself for a while and she’s fine (and so is the house) when I return. Peri’s wonderful!” I would add that I love playing fetch with my ball, car rides, and hiking in Madera Canyon. If you want an active, loving companion, I’ll make you “peri” happy!

Hi… my name is Bowie,

Adopted 8-17-20

Sometimes I’m shy at first. That usually lasts about 10 seconds and then I can’t resist you! I’m an inquisitive girl who loves people, so pretty quickly I’ll try to be your friend. I’m young (born in late 2017) and still need some training on the leash, but here’s my secret advantage: I’m what people call “smart.” Since I want to please you, I love to learn. My previous person didn’t have time or money to take care of me, but she loved me and wanted me to be happy, so I’m here—ready to be adopted by someone who wants an active, fun-loving, good-looking dog. As she said, I have a cuddly personality. So how about we see what you think? If I can make you smile, maybe we’re made for each other!

Bentley is an active and social 2-year-old, 60-pound Shepherd mix male who needs a new home. He is crate trained, leash trained, and obedience trained (sit, down, shake). He is housebroken and asks to go out. He is in good health, neutered, up to date on shots, and medical records are available. Bentley gets along with other dogs and older children; cats are unknown. He loves balls and would be a great running partner. There is no adoption fee for this sweet boy. If you will welcome Bentley into a loving home as part of your family, please call Andrea between 9 AM and 7 PM at 520-307-9481.

Hi… my name is Indy,

Adopted 9-20-20

I was brought to TALGV after I was found under a trailer. When I arrived, everyone knew they were in the company of an exuberant boy who is still a pup at heart. After working with my trainer, I’m settling down and gradually learning some new lessons. I’m quite proud that I know the meaning of sit and wait. I can use the doggie door and I’m possibly housetrained. I’m pretty good on walks but need more work on leash training. I’m sweet and very affectionate and I love to play. I also enjoy going for rides, once I’m in the car. If you’re in the market for a bundle of energetic love, please make an appointment to meet me. I could be just what you’re looking for.

Hi… my name is Takeda (aka “Bear”),

Adopted 12-19-20

I’m a 2-year-old Mastiff mix (possibly part Kai Ken), with a beautiful brindle coat. Since I’m large and lovable, and I enjoy ear rubs and kisses, my foster family has nicknamed me “Teddy Bear.” My foster dad said I’m house trained and the perfect houseguest. I walk well on a leash and I’m always eager to go for a stroll but I’m not thrilled about car rides or confined spaces. We’re working on that! I’m an intelligent and independent boy who can be little stubborn. If you are a strong, patient person with a loving personality who wants to bond with a big boy with a loving personality, please call and let’s get together.

Hi… my name is Crikey,

Adopted 12-31-20

I’m a true Australian cattle dog; in other words, I’m NOT a couch potato. I need tasks and activities to keep me occupied. I’m good on a leash and would really appreciate someone who’s active and possibly likes to hike. I also enjoy playing and absolutely love car rides. I appear to be housetrained and I use a doggie door, and I know how to sit when told. It may take a while to build trust with me, but when you do I will be affectionate, attentive and willing to learn new lessons. If you are familiar with my breed or if you have patience to learn, please come in and meet me. Since I’m a working boy, if you’re willing to work, I’m definitely your boy.
