Adopted 2-10-20

Palomino is a handsome, strong, and smart 75-pound, 2-year-old male Rhodesian Ridgeback mix that needs a new home. Palo is housebroken, asks to go out, and he is crate and leash trained. He obeys basic commands and will come with training support in his new home. He is healthy, has been neutered, and is up to date with shots (medical records available). Palo will be best as an only pet as he does not get along with other dogs or cats. There is no adoption fee for this sweet boy. If you will welcome Palo into a loving home as part of your family, please call Andrea between 10 AM and 8 PM at 520-307-9481.

Hi… my name is Doug,

Adopted 1-27-20

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life

I’m a 17-pound terrier mix who was found wandering on La Cañada and Duval Mine Road. I’m about 10 ½ years old, but I don’t act my age – you know, like a lot of folks here in Green Valley! I like taking walks as well as naps and sitting on laps. The volunteers think I’m housebroken from what they’ve seen, and I get along with other friendly small dogs here. If you come in the door and look right at me, I’ll probably bark. That’s kinda scary to me, but I’ll settle down. When you come see me, don’t think I’m rude if my tongue is sticking out at you. I just don’t have enough teeth to keep it in all the time! No worries. I have a good appetite, good attitude, and Vet Care Support for Life. I know we’ll have a good life together.

Hi… my name is Marc (aka Mork),

Adopted 4-5-20

I’m an energetic boy that loves to play. My former owner taught me many tricks. I shake hands and know how to sit, lie down, stay, and roll over. I love big sticks and squeaker toys. I am a quick learner when treats are involved (I’ll catch it in the air!). After I exercise, and burn off excess energy, I settle down and am ready to cuddle. I get along with other dogs and cats but I’m quite rambunctious so would probably do best in a home without small children. My TALGV handler says I’m sweet and always ready to please. I’m certain when you meet me you will see what an impressive boy I am. If you’re a loving, patient person willing to make me part of your family and routine, I’m ready to go.

Hi… my name is Bobo,

Adopted 1-25-20

I’m like a basketball. I’m round, firm, and made for play! At 10 ½ months with a muscular, compact build, I’m a ball of energy. I was found in Madera Canyon bouncing along in my happy way with no I.D. and was brought to TALGV. I love people and would be a good match with friendly dogs my own size or bigger. I look like a Minnie Pittie. I wouldn’t mean to, but I could knock a little dog down with a playful paw pat. And don’t even think about pairing me with a cat. Put on your athletic shoes and come see me. With plenty of exercise, sturdy chew toys, and training from you, and lots of affection and fun from me, we’ll make a winning team!

Hi… my name is Lucky (aka No-Me),

Adopted 1-12-20

“Look for the helpers,” said Mr. Rogers, the TV star, whose mother told him to do that when something scared him. I’ve known scary times, too—when I was kept in a backyard kennel without food or water—until a helper came for me. While with her, I was good with kids and other dogs, but not with cats; very energetic, loving, obedient, and a fast learner. And then I came here, still needing to gain weight (this is a five-star place for nutritious dog meals), and just naturally friendly and eager to please. Life isn’t scary anymore. For me, it’s full of promise for happy, fun times. I’m a 3-year-old Boxer mix male, who wants most of all to give you the love of a good dog. Will you help me do that?

Hi… my name is Kava,

Adopted 1-13-20

I didn’t mean to hitchhike. To be honest with you I was quite nervous. That probably explains why, when the car stopped and the door opened, I immediately jumped in. Then I was taken to the home of my rescuer where I felt safe and secure. After spending the night I came to TALGV where I was made to feel at home. They were informed that I am a calm, friendly girl that loves to cuddle and it seems I also like kids. My basic “commands” education is not known, but I walk well on a leash. Now I have my own room but I would prefer my own home and someone to love. If you are interested in an affectionate gal that enjoys a cuddle—-I’m yours.

Hi… my name is Chief,

Adopted 12-29-19

After my sister and I were orphaned, we didn’t know where to go. A wonderful lady found us roaming the neighborhood and rescued us. She already had three dogs of her own, so she couldn’t keep us. She brought us in to TALGV and told them that we were very special, loving dogs that deserved a good home. Then my sister was adopted, but her new family couldn’t take us both. I’m waiting for that special person to come in to see me. I’m still young and have lots of energy. I will probably need some training but I’ll be worth it. Why don’t you come in and meet me. I’m very affectionate and would love to cuddle with my special person. Could that be you?

Hi… my name is Wilson,

Adopted 1-5-20

Have you ever known anyone who was hit by a car, then mustered all their strength and reclaimed their joy of life? Well, that’s me. After 3 surgeries to fix my jaw and lots of TLC from my TALGV foster mom, I’m a new man. I just need to avoid crunchy food. I’m a 7-month-old small terrier who loves to play! My foster Mom says I get along with all of her dogs and cats. I’d be happy with a playful doggy buddy. I have learned to eat and sleep in my kennel, use a doggy door, and am learning where to go potty. I’m an eager eater and I vacuum the floor after we all finish dining. Mom says I’m a spunky, funny puppy. I’m good at life, and I’ll be good for you!
