I’m one of 4 puppies who spent our first 5 months growing up in a back yard. We were fed and looked after but didn’t have much people contact. As we got bigger and were eating more, we were brought to TALGV so we could become socialized with people and find forever homes. On our first day we were so skittish that we didn’t want to be touched. We huddled together and were given our space. It has not taken long to learn that the company of people is about as good as food! We’re still cautious, but warming up. I look like a mix of black Labrador and Hound, but who knows? What really matters is I’m full of potential to be just the canine companion you’re looking for!

Hi… my name is Buster,

You’ll know me when you see me. I’m the beautiful fawn colored boy, kind of like a pug with longer legs. I was adopted in March, but the owner and I had a disagreement about the doorbell and I was returned to TALGV. Everyone here says I’m the biggest cuddlebug ever. I enthusiastically greet everyone who comes in. Given the chance I’ll get in your lap and give kisses while your fingers move through my beautiful coat. I walk so well on a leash that I was asked to walk in the local parade. That calls for one friendly dog to be that lucky. Don’t let my weight fool you; we pugs are small chunky cuddlebugs. We sound bigger than we really are.

My siblings look like a mix of Labrador and Hound, but I look a lot like a Golden Retriever mix. Who knows? I’m just a foot and a half tall and a year and a half old. I’m buff both in color and physique. You could say I’m well balanced! I’m here at TALGV because my Mom and Dad worked long hours and said I’m “a sweetheart who deserves more companionship.” I’m a friendly girl with people and other dogs. The combination of having brains and curiosity led me to figuring out how to open a handle doorknob and jump a fence. Safety doesn’t cross my mind when there’s something to explore on the other side. Right now I’m wondering who’s going to come through my door from the other side and take me to my new home!

I’m a sleek, shiny black boxer/lab mix with a sparkling personality to match. I was adopted from TALGV two years ago when I was just a year old. But now my Dad had to move, so I was brought back to start over. With my bright spirit and love of people, dogs, play, and belly rubs, I just know my new family is going to see me, want me, and take me home! I’m an enthusiast when it comes to playing “retrieve your toy,” but I ‘m also known to relax completely, stretched out on my back, letting you pet me as long as you like. I’m good on leash and am learning to wait at the door, but don’t let me wait too long for you to claim me as your own.

I’m a handsome black and white border collie/lab mix looking for my very own forever home. I love to play and need would like a playmate. I love playing fetch, even bring the toy back to you. My previous family brought me to TALGV because I was a great jumper and went out to find playmates. I have boundless energy that I need a little help harnessing. I just love everyone that comes to visit. I have pretty good manners, and I’m ready to learn basic commands. I’d love to get some basic training and, if you like, maybe even some agility training with you by my side.
