Hi… my name is Acura,

I’m a 3-month-old female mix of unknown parentage. I like playing and snuggling with my sister, Honda. Sometimes we bounce on each other. We had other siblings, but they’ve all been adopted. I know I love people. I’m not sure what to make of grown-up dogs, but I’m respectful and willing to learn. I feel sure my first real home is right around the corner. When I look out my kennel window, I can read love in people’s eyes. My eyes talk right back. Come take a look at me!

Adopted 11-6-19

SADIE is an affectionate, social, and energetic 5-year-old, 40-pound, Border Collie/Lab mix female whose family has obligations that have changed and don’t have much time for her. She is crate trained, leash trained, and house trained (asks to go out). She responds well to “sit” and “stay” commands and enjoyed agility training. Sadie enjoys car rides and is a good traveler. She is in good health, spayed, up to date on shots, and medical records are available. She gets along with other dogs and children; cats are unknown. Sadie is a loyal companion that wants to be with you inside or outside. There is no adoption fee. If you will welcome Sadie into a loving home as part of your family, please call Jim between 8 AM and 9 PM at 520-834-6855.

Hi… my name is Spencer,

Adopted 7-1-20

Have you ever longed to be accepted and loved for who you really are? I’ve been living at TALGV for almost 3 years and still hope for the day when someone special comes, really sees me, and says, “Spencer, you’re coming home!” People walk by my door, give me a glance, see a black dog with a graying muzzle, and pass me by. What they don’t see is that I know my commands and have good house manners, am friendly and give big kisses. I love walks, car rides, playing “find the treat,” learning new commands, and taking a nap. I do, however, have a problem I just can’t seem to shake. Do you? Mine is aversion to other dogs. I will treasure the person who is willing to shield me, adopt me as their only dog, and love me as I am.

Hi… my name is Whiskey,

Adopted 11-5-19

If you are looking for a big, sweet and playful companion, I’m your dog! I haven’t met many strangers, so when you come to visit me, I may be a little nervous at first. But if you let me sniff your hand and give me a few minutes to get to know you, we can be best friends in no time! I especially like it when people scratch my butt, and I will gladly roll over for a tummy rub! I lived with my first family for the last six years. They said that I am housebroken, know sit and stay, and was gentle with their new baby. I’d like to find someone who will take time to play with me and take walks, but, most importantly, who will love me forever!

Hi… my name is Todd,

Adopted 1-3-20

A kind person brought me to TALGV. No one knows for sure what I’ve been through, but they say I have come a long way in a month. In the past I learned to temper my curiosity with caution. A three-day retreat with some nice foster parents helped my confidence. They said the microwave and other loud things made me nervous, but I had fun exploring their house and really liked the other doggie in the mirror. They put my nice soft bed in front of the mirror and that made me feel safe. I didn’t make any messes in the house, and I really enjoyed the long walks on the leash, especially with confident doggie friends. I’m starting to relax a bit, and the treats and chin rubs are pretty nice, too. I’m looking for a special someone who will help me build my confidence. My foster parents think I would do well with a confident dog in the home to show me how things should be.

Hi… my name is Tank,

Adopted 1-3-20

Yep, you got it, I’m a big solid lab mix, built like a tank (ha ha, no pun intended). The next thing you will notice about me is my milk chocolate coat. I was a little rough looking after roaming in the desert for a while, but it feels good to have my coat back to that glossy chocolaty look. When you come to see me I’m going to run up and enthusiastically greet you with lots of big wet kisses. Being a young puppy boy, I find everything exciting and will let you know about it. I have a lot to learn and hope you will help me.
