I am a proper, gentle, lady looking for a quiet place to spend my golden years. I don’t chew, dig, or potty in the house. I take treats gently and enjoy relaxing, watching birds, being brushed, and sleeping on a nice, soft bed. I’d prefer to be your only dog since I think others aren’t as refined as I am, but I’m happy to calmly welcome human guests and show them how well I walk on a leash and sit. I’m a mixed-breed girl who is slowly learning to trust again after being found alone in the desert. Like the song “You Are My Sunshine,” I’m ready to bring warmth and love into your life, though it may take me a little time to bloom. I’m still a bit fearful of new people and experiences, but I’m gaining confidence each day. Even with just one eye, I’ve got a big heart full of potential! Like the song, “Sunshine on My Shoulders,” I’ll bring happiness with your patience and understanding. Once I’m a member of your family, our theme song will be “You Are the Sunshine of My Life.”

Puppies are cute, easy to love and sometimes goofy. I know because I’m surrounded by puppies! They’re my siblings! And there are more puppies at the Animal League, too. I hear them playing and sometimes I can smell them because, well, I’m a dog. Yes, I’m still little, with lots to learn, and needing a daily puppy portion of cuddling, playing, and reminders that I’m safe and loved.
