CARMELITA is a friendly and well-behaved 18-month-old, 35-pound, Hound/Terrier mix female who needs a new home. Adopter found her but does not have room to keep her. She walks well on leash and is crate trained. She is in good health, spayed, up to date on shots and medical records are available. She sits to be petted, asks to go out, and likes playing with her toys. Carmelita is good with other dogs and cats; children are unknown. She will love having attention and learning how to be your best friend. There is no adoption fee. As much as my owner loved me, she had no choice but to find me and my other adopted “siblings” new homes. My “mom” had taken me in after being found in the desert covered with cholla. Now because of her love, she has trusted the good people at TALGV with my care while waiting for my new home. I’m an approximately 5-year-old female Heeler mix who walks well on a leash. I’m a little timid and would probably do better in a home without young children, and definitely no cats! I have a lot of love to offer if you’re willing to be patient while I get to know you. My mom’s request…love me as she has. If you have room in your heart (and your home), I’d love to meet you!

I’m Tito and I make “fetch” happen! It’s probably my favorite thing to do. I also love walks, car rides, belly rubs, learning new tricks (rollover is my latest!), naps, cuddling, and anything else that involves time with people. I’m an almost 2-year-old boy who is the perfect mix of happiness, smarts, loyalty, and love all wrapped up in a handsome package, if I do say so myself. Bonus! I have experience living in a home, so I’m house-trained and crate-trained. I even put myself to bed at night! I don’t chew on things that don’t belong to me, and I know how to use the doggie door and have polite manners. Okay, I sometimes need to be reminded not to jump on people. Nobody’s perfect, but you have to admit: I’m pretty close! (11-30-23)

I made some doggie friends at TALGV who are helping me overcome my shyness and try new things, like going on walks and learning how to play. Who knows?
