Hi… my name is Nacho (aka Harrison),

Adopted 11-10-24

What comes to mind when you hear my name… corn chips covered with melted cheese, etc. or the song, “Nacho, Nacho man?” Whoops! Should that be with an “M?” The reality is I’m a big, handsome boy who walks well on a leash, with a strong handler. I’m crate trained (when left alone), ask to go out, and know some commands. I’m not a snob, but I am cautious around people I’m not familiar with. I need to get to know someone to feel comfortable around them. Once this is accomplished, I can be very affectionate and loving. In other words… be patient! It may sound corny and cheesy, but let me say I’d love to be your “Macho Nacho” boy. Does that sound appetizing to you? Let’s go home!

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.                                                                                                   (bio revised 12-4-23)

Hi… my name is Eddie (aka Cocoa),

Adopted 2-5-24

When people say humans and dogs belong together, I want to reply a hearty “thank you” because that’s how I feel, too. Truth be told, I love human attention and affection, and I’m happy to give as much as I receive. When my person had to go overseas and I came here, I hoped to make new friends quickly.  Lucky for me, that’s what happened! Granted, the volunteers report that I need some guidance on manners (such as knowing when not to jump and leash training), but they describe me as eager to please, very sweet and friendly. I love to play and at my former home was good with kids and lived peacefully with another dog. If you’re friendly too, please stop by for a visit. We might decide to be friends forever!

Fatsy is a smart and affectionate 60-pound, 9-month-old male Staffie mix that needs a new home as he is too high energy for small children. He is housebroken, enjoys car rides, and walks well on leash. He is crate trained, house trained (asks to go out), well behaved and knows commands sit, wait, stay, leave it, and lay. Fatsy is healthy, has been neutered, and is up to date with shots (medical records available). He does not get along with other dogs, cats are unknown, and kids should be older than 10. He loves to play and cuddle with family and would enjoy more training. There is no adoption fee. If you will welcome Fatsy into a loving home as part of your family, please call Robert any time at 520-834-7777.

Sassy is a sweet and affectionate 6-month-old Shepherd mix female who needs a new home. She is in good health, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on shots. Sassy loves people and is very smart, so she should be easy to train. Since owner’s other three dogs do not get along with her, she might be best as an only dog. She comes with crate, pad, harness, and leash. There is no adoption fee for this special girl. If you will welcome Sassy into a loving home as part of your family, please call Harold any time at 520-288-9450.

Hi… my name is Diamond,

Adopted 12-3-23

Months ago, I was one of seven little puppies brought to The Animal League in a cardboard box!  Since then, I’ve been growing, learning, and having fun, but there have been a few disappointments, too. First, a family member’s allergies, then an older dog didn’t want me around, and now my current family is going far away. What’s a people-loving dog like me to do? Put my best paw forward, of course. My former people said I was good with children, housetrained, liked playing with a ball, and understood the words “sit,” “lay down,” and “go outside.” I’m a big, active puppy who loves to give and receive attention, and really wants to belong to someone. How about we meet real soon and find out if we could be a happy family together forever.

Hi… my name is Captain,

Adopted 6-10-24

Ahoy! I’m Captain, your next adventure buddy and forever friend! I’m a hound mix who was found alone in Green Valley and brought to TALGV where I quickly became buddies with two- and four-legged friends. My zest for life is infectious; I’m a quick learner and am ready to master new tricks or commands to impress you. I also have a calm and loving side, relishing in cuddles and quiet moments with my human. I’m looking for a family that can provide me with the love, attention, and exercise I crave. If you’re ready for a lifetime of adventures, laughter, and unconditional love, I’m the first mate you’ve been searching for. Make me a part of your crew today, and together, we’ll sail through life’s journey with joy and companionship.

Hi… my name is Crosby,

Adopted 12-28-23

People tend to notice my merle and white coat first because, they say, it’s unusually handsome. They often comment on my eyes—one is blue, the other brown. I enjoy the compliments, of course, but my favorite part is when we get acquainted because I’m a friendly, sweet guy who loves being with people. Some say I make them happy just by being me! The kind fellow who rescued me couldn’t keep me forever, but in our two days together he wished he could. He said my good qualities included being “a great dog, lots of love, very sweet, and sensitive.”  My friends here agree! Affectionate and active, I’m a young guy, about 2 years old, so we could share lots of good times ahead. Please stop by. I’d love to meet you today!
