My silver hair may give me the look of a distinguished gentleman, but I’m also a best buddy kind of guy. For years I lived happily and peacefully with another dog, there were cats at the home, too, and I was described as gentle and tolerant with the kids I met. After my people passed away, I was grateful to come here and quickly made friends among the volunteers. It probably helps that I’m easy to please. I enjoy our walks together, glad to share playtime, and, most of all, love to be petted. You could say that’s my dream list: time together, fun, and, most of all, love. If that sounds good to you, too, there’s an easygoing best buddy kind of guy waiting for you at TALGV. Please just ask for me.

If we become acquainted, you may suggest changing my name to Pal or Buddy or—well, you get the idea. I like to be and to have a good friend. When I first came to The Animal League—which happened because our person moved and couldn’t take us with her—I lived with another dog. Since she was adopted, I’ve shared my run peacefully and happily with another dog. Guess you could say I’m good company and not just with canines. People have called me a very friendly and lovable guy, even “the sweetest ever.” I’m good on leash for casual walks and I’d love to be your partner in a fun and active life, too. As for proper names, I’ll be happy with whatever you choose, as long as you call me yours.

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE
Once upon a time two little dogs—Angel and I—were rescued by one wonderful woman. She taught us what a “good home” means. After her death, we became TALGV dogs. Today, while waiting for our next warm and loving home, we’re staying with another nice woman and her friendly dog. We go on car rides and walks in the park (two of our favorite things) and just hang out together. Foster mom says we eat well, don’t make messes in the house, and are fine being left at home when she’s at work. We recently had a spa treatment (la-de-dah!) and are ready to meet new friends. Angel and I are 11-year-old Terrier mix females, who have Vet Care Support for Life, and will be adopted together. Please come meet us soon.

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE
In this big wide world, Daisy Mae and I are two little dogs who are happy to be together. Today, while waiting for our new forever home, we’re staying with a very nice lady and her friendly dog. She says we’re good in the house, don’t make messes, get along with her dog and are fine being left at home while she works. For fun, we love going on car rides and taking walks in the park. Daisy Mae and I are Terrier mix females, each 11 years old and come with Vet Care Support for Life. We also come together—two little dogs with big hearts, who will be shy at first, but will soon bring a double supply of love to their forever home. Could that wonderful home be with you?

Lupita is good with other friendly dogs and children over five years; cats are unknown. She likes hanging out with people, does not bark except when the gate is opened, does not jump on people or furniture.
There is no adoption fee for this special girl.
If you will welcome Lupita into a loving home as part of your family, please call Paul between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. at 505-660-6995.

I’m an 8-year-old dog with a younger pup’s personality! Yes, I might be called a senior canine, but I’m still a lively guy and it shows. Do you know the fetch game? I love playing that. Do you think taking regular walks is a good idea? Me too! If you want to go every day, I’m your walking buddy. And if you ever want to play ball, I’m your guy for that, too. You get the picture. I’m a sweet little guy who recently lost my person and, yes, I miss her. But I still have the energy for lots of happy trails ahead. I just need to find the person or people who’ll take me along. If you could love the active little me, I’m right here at TALGV—ready and waiting for you.

Although friends say I’m a “love bug,” I may be shy when we meet. Oh, I want to get to know you, but in my young life I’ve learned to be a little cautious. I first arrived at The Animal League as a skinny puppy with a significant injury to one of my paws. I was soon adopted, but when I grew into the guy you see today—a nice size for a 1-year-old Boxer mix—I was too strong for my adopter. So now I’m back, continuing training on walking, manners, and how to let my sweet, friendly nature shine through. I’m having fun (I love my favorite toys) and holding fast to the best dream ever: The day someone wonderful gives me a forever home. Could you be my someone? (10/2024)
