My happy little life had a dramatic and dangerous beginning. When we were just days old, my brothers and I were part of a remarkable rescue—twelve dogs (including six newborns) found in a vacant house without food or water in triple-digit heat. Our TALGV friends worked frantically to save us all and they succeeded! Of course, our mom was helping the whole time, and she will always be our number one hero. When rescued, I weighed about 1 pound. Today, I’ve grown to 6.8 pounds, part of which is my curly blond-and-white coat (Mom was a Poodle mix). I’m now a playful, energetic, 4-month-old male puppy with lots to learn, so some patience and training required, but if I promise to stay adorable forever (and I do), may my happily-ever-after-home be with you?

Our happy home included people, dogs and a cat, until a problem arose. Due to her health issues, our person could no longer take care of us. The great news is that my best dog buddy has already been adopted, which gives me high hopes that I’ll be next. I’m a 16-month-old white Chihuahua/Poodle mix male, 15-1/2 pounds—a nice size for cuddling, which is one of my favorite things. I also enjoy playing with other dogs, love my chew toys, and know the commands “sit,” “shake,” “high five,” “kiss,” and “come here.” My former person said someone had been unkind to me previously, which may be why I’m so shy at first, but please don’t let that keep us apart. I’m truly eager to share love and happiness again—this time with you!

“Jack is a wonderful little companion.” Among the good things people say about me, that sweet statement may say it best, and it’s extra meaningful because it comes from my owners of 11 years. We’d still be together if it weren’t for their own health issues; they love me and want me to have the good home they can no longer provide. A 13-year-old, 16-pound Poodle/Bichon mix, I’m not terribly active, but enjoy my walks and still like to play; my appetite is good (I’ll let you know when it’s time to eat), and I come with free vet care for life. Now that everything’s okay, I’m happy to be an Animal League star! My babies and I were part of a remarkable rescue—twelve dogs found in a vacant house without food or water in triple-digit heat. Our TALGV friends worked frantically to save us and they succeeded! Of course, like all good mothers, I did everything I could for my three babies and have kept it up once we were safely here. The volunteers (who’ve seen many litters) compliment me on being a very good and attentive mother. They also say that on my own—a young, blonde, 10-pound Poodle mix female—I’m an exceptionally sweet and adorable dog. So all’s well save for one thing: Now that my pups are all adopted, I’ll need a home of my own. Could you be the one to rescue me forever?

There were twelve of us—6 young dogs and 6 newborn puppies—left in an abandoned house without food or water in triple-digit heat. Then a door opened. A woman had heard us. She was our first hero, and there would be many more. Indeed, we were in such dire straits that the rescue activity at TALGV by so many people—busy with fluids, cooling, nourishment, whatever we needed—is a bit of a blur. What I know for sure is that our lives were saved that day. Now we each have a future—a chance to thrive, play, give and receive love. I’m a blonde/reddish 1-year-old Poodle mix female, 12 pounds, and I’m sure you understand why I’m so ready for a carefree, fun and happy life in a comfy, loving home with you!
