I am in search of a big lap! You see, I’m a big mush and love bug. My favorite place is with my person, right next to them, preferably touching, giving kisses, and getting petted. I also love being brushed and since my fur is long, I need to be. What I don’t like are loud noises and some overly exuberant small children I don’t know. Some dogs also make me nervous, especially when I’m on a leash. So I’d do best as the only dog in a home without small children. They say I’m a fast learner so maybe you could help me with that. I can use a doggie door or tell you when I need to go out. I am also crate trained and have done well when left by myself. If your lap could hold a big love bug, please come to meet me soon.

On my trip here, the lady who drove me said I definitely needed my seatbelt. I’m a lively young guy who can be very energetic–just a big pup who needs some basic obedience training. I already know how to sit and lay down. I enjoy playing fetch and I will bring the toy back and drop it gently. I’m treat-motivated, and I’m a gracious gentleman when accepting them. I like to play and get a little mouthy but still gentle. I really love belly rubs and I will reward you with kisses. I have been told that I’m quite a handsome lad. After years together, Daisy and I had to say goodbye to our family when they moved to a smaller apartment and we came here. It was a scary change, but I’ve been a brave big brother (I was protective of the teenagers at home, too), and Daisy is the loving sister with whom I happily share my run, food and life. We’re different—I’m a 9-year-old male, 60-plus pounds (I come with Free Vet Care for Life), and she’s an 8-year-old female, 37 pounds—but we have lots in common: We each know a few commands, can use a doggie door, and we like to play! Best of all, each of us is a sweet dog who believes that having a friend makes everything better. If you agree, will you let me be yours?

You could say my lucky number came up when I was found in a casino parking lot by someone who kindly gave me a ride to TALGV. Here I’m learning there are lots of friendly people around when you’re in the right place. I’m a tall fellow, about 60 pounds, with a beautiful, rich black coat. I can be shy at first—maybe uncertain of how I’ll be treated—but if you’re calm and gentle, I’m very glad for the company. You can see that in my soulful eyes. Even if you just walk by my run, you’ll see my interest, my hope that you’re a new friend. How about a visit real soon? We can meet and greet each other, and you can show me how fun and happy life can be together!
