Hi… my name is Vern,

Comes with Free Vet Care for Life

After years together, Daisy and I had to say goodbye to our family when they moved to a smaller apartment and we came here. It was a scary change, but I’ve been a brave big brother (I was protective of the teenagers at home, too), and Daisy is the loving sister with whom I happily share my run, food and life. We’re different—I’m a 9-year-old male, 60-plus pounds (I come with Free Vet Care for Life), and she’s an 8-year-old female, 37 pounds—but we have lots in common: We each know a few commands, can use a doggie door, and we like to play! Best of all, each of us is a sweet dog who believes that having a friend makes everything better. If you agree, will you let me be yours?

Hi… my name is Bear,

Adopted 6-20-18

You could say my lucky number came up when I was found in a casino parking lot by someone who kindly gave me a ride to TALGV. Here I’m learning there are lots of friendly people around when you’re in the right place. I’m a tall fellow, about 60 pounds, with a beautiful, rich black coat. I can be shy at first—maybe uncertain of how I’ll be treated—but if you’re calm and gentle, I’m very glad for the company. You can see that in my soulful eyes. Even if you just walk by my run, you’ll see my interest, my hope that you’re a new friend.  How about a visit real soon? We can meet and greet each other, and you can show me how fun and happy life can be together!

Hi… my name is Dennis,

Adopted 1-17-18

Outgoing, sociable, welcoming—pick your favorite synonym for friendly and you’ll be describing me. I love the company of people and it shows! But somehow I became lost, and when found on Continental near I-19, I had wounds on the exterior of both ears. Naturally, I was very happy to be rescued, plus have my wounds tended. My wonderful rescuers already had dogs and cats, but they gave me major kudos for being playful, energetic, and just plain lovable. I’m a 1-year-old Retriever mix male and there’s still lots of puppy in me, which means I’ve things to learn (probably haven’t had much attention before), and my healthy appetite will come in handy for treat-motivated training. Most of all, I’ll want to please the one who’ll be my friend forever, and hopefully that’s you!

Hi… my name is Daisy,

Adopted 8-1-17

My former person and I had a sweet life together. She loved me for being “affectionate, loyal, a great lap dog,” and I loved how she brushed me and rubbed my belly. But she’s moved many states away to a home with very young children and another dog, and since I wasn’t good with the toddlers and prefer to be the only canine, she left me here. That was tough; I’m shy and didn’t know what to expect. But I’m also active, smart, and love going for walks, so things are better now. Plus, you might like to know I have good indoor manners, “ask” to go outside, and give kisses if you like. I’m a 3-1/2-year-old female, 48 pounds, and I could be great company at home if you’ll give me the chance.

Hi… my name is Finn,

I’m a happy, fun-loving puppy, and my time spent lost and alone didn’t change that. I was a young stray—no collar or tags, without a home or a friend—when I wandered into a stranger’s yard. Since I got along with their dogs (a Heeler mix and a Schnauzer), they kindly let me stay for a week, but when left outside, I did jump the fence. Now I’m here, and although I still need a home, I’m having fun: I like going on walks (and behave myself very well on a leash), love being with people, and enjoy all the compliments about my sweet nature and adorable looks. I’m a golden color male, probably a Retriever/Spaniel mix, and cute as can be. Could I be the one for you?
