Rio

Hi… my name is Rio,

Adopted 6-1-24

Hey there, folks! They say my forever family is just around the corner, and I can’t wait to dive into my own “Happily Ever After” tale. Picture this: my brother and I, abandoned with a makeshift sign reading “Free Puppies.” Luckily a kind soul whisked us off to TALGV, where the start to our new, better lives began. I’m a delightful blend of happiness and charm, with my breed an amusing mystery waiting to be solved. Sure, school’s out for summer, but while I wait to meet my new family, I’m mastering the basics of Puppy 101 with my human pals – I’m a natural! I’m eagerly gearing up to become your newest, most adored family member. Swing by and let’s start our adventure together!

Hi… my name is Luca,

Adopted 7-28-24

Could you be the writer of my life’s next chapter? The captain of my new journey? I’m house-trained, well-mannered and am rather low-maintenance, meaning I don’t require hours of daily exercise to burn off energy. If you are looking for a loyal companion who enjoys the simple things in life: Belly rubs, leisurely walks, quiet evenings, naps, cuddling, I could be the perfect guy for you. Please don’t let my initial shyness put you off. My heart is still mending after my dad passed away and my sister (from another Mister) found a home of her own. These changes have been a lot to adjust to, and while I’ve done quite well, maybe you are the one to make my wish of a home and family a reality? I hope so!

Hi… my name is (Miss) Stevie,

Adopted 11-13-22

Since arriving at TALGV I’ve acquired many new friends, including my roommate. I can be shy, but I usually warm up pretty fast. My trainer, who thinks I’m a “wonderful dog,” took me home to see how well I behave. I think I did great! I know the meaning of commands: sit, lay down, stay, come, leave it, no and off (furniture). Once you adopt me, you can set (and enforce) your own house rules. I’m strong and may occasionally pull, but I walk well on leash. I sleep all night in a crate, enjoy playing with toys, and am familiar with doggy doors. I’m house broken, but until you learn my “tell” you’ll need to put me out regularly. Confidentially, when you take me home, I might show YOU my ”tell.”

NOTE: Stevie has been social, tolerant, and playful when meeting other dogs in TALGV’s playgroup. She would like to meet any resident dogs before adoption to your home.

Hi… my name is Paul,

Adopted 5-29-22

Four of us were found together, all boys, and brought to TALGV in April. Someone had the clever idea that we could be the Fab Four. Now, Iam much too young to understand what that means, but perhaps you do. In any case, I think I got the coolest name! That’s Sir Paulto you, thank you! Mom and Dad were pretty big dogs, Rottweiler or Shepherd, I think, so I’ll probably grow into a big dog too. (If not, my paws are way too big!) We’ve been told we must find ourselves “forever home”, a place where we can play and run and have someone teach us good doggie manners. Two of our siblings have already done that. Now it’s my turn! Do you have a forever home for me?

Hi… my name is Jinx,

Adopted 12-5-20

Any day that involves a field trip is my favorite day. I love riding in a car and traveling to exciting new places. Once there, I enjoy all the new sights and smells and spending time with someone special. I’m a good looking 2-year-old male Rottie mix with soulful eyes. I use a doggy door, know the command “sit” and can learn so much more. In the kennel I seem shy and timid, but once out, I’m a different boy altogether. I didn’t get along with the dog in my last home, but I’m not sure I should be blamed for that. If you’re looking for a companion to share your travels, please call for an appointment to meet me. I could very possibly be the one for you.

Hi… my name is Southland,

Adopted 9-19-20

I am a young Rottie/Heeler girl of medium size. When you first meet me, I act a bit shy, but give me a few minutes and you will see the gentle, loving side of me. Just look at my eyes! I have been around small children and they say I was good with them and also that I behaved well when I was left alone in the yard. I still need to learn a few things, like how to tell you when I need to go potty and how to walk better on a leash. I would really like to go home with someone who can help me become more confident and show me that I don’t need to be afraid of strangers. If that is you, will you come to meet me soon?

Hi… my name is Buster,

Adopted 7-9-18

I like to take life in the peaceful, friendly lane. Oh, I still adhere to my good-dog duties, but in my own sweet way. For instance, my former owner said I would bark and growl to let you know a stranger was approaching, “but when the person gets close, he’ll love on them.” Recently, that positive attitude has stood me in good stead as I’ve dealt with two challenges. First, I lost my home. My previous owner is driving an 18-wheeler now and couldn’t take me along. Next, I needed medical care for heartworm, which took some time but I’m very glad to report that I successfully completed the treatment. Now, more than ever, I’m ready for the best part of life—a happy future with someone fun, loving, and kind. Is that you?
