I am a smallish shepherd mix with a beautiful dark coat and, they say, almost impeccable manners. I have a few quirks, of course, like wanting to dig under fences so I can go exploring, but I am kennel-trained and respond well to sit, heel, down, and stay. I’ve gotten along great with kids and been gentle with them, even the really little ones. They say I get along with most dogs—as long as they don’t try to take away my bones, that is. But who would like that, right? Cats are okay, too (they don’t want my bones!). I am only 18 months old so I still have lots of energy and would like to live with someone who has a big place or who will take me places where I can run.

My mom Floppy and I lived with our human dad until recently, but he is getting up there in years and could no longer care for us. I am a small shepherd mix who is affectionate and loves to play and cuddle with my special person. My dad said that liked to wander and could jump a four-foot high fence so I can follow my nose and explore. (I’ve always come back though!) I walk well on a leash and know how to heel and stay. Being part shepherd, I’m smart and learn quickly. I also like to keep busy. Maybe you can come and teach me more? I come with vet care support for life.

When my owner’s health situation changed I had to come back to TALGV with my sister, Nalla. I’m a laid-back blonde, young boy. I’m fairly relaxed in this new place and mildly curious about things going on around me. They say I’m skittish and anxious, but I think maybe I’m just lacking confidence. I’m easy going around other dogs, and I even relish having another confident dog near me to show me the ropes on how to be a great friend and companion. Being young, I have a lot to learn about walking on a leash and basic obedience. I just need a loving and patient person to help me out of my shyness. Won’t you come meet me?

I’m an affectionate, happy, and friendly senior lady that comes with Vet Care Support for Life. My foster parents are helping find me a wonderful home to spend my retirement. Since I became hard of hearing, they’ve been working on hand signals with me. Some loud noises, like clapping, get my attention and of course, treats always work. When I need to go out I will come to get you. That also works when I’m ready to eat. Speaking of eating, I really enjoy my food warmed up in the microwave. Every morning I take my pills in CRUNCHY peanut butter, please! As we all get older we enjoy the simple things in life: a loving home, good food, and someone to share them with.
