Hi… my name is Kellie,

Adopted 5-4-17

I was a stray dog, but these days I’m feeling much more like a lucky dog! I was found out by the pecan groves, seen running across the road—lucky to avoid the traffic and lucky that my finder brought me here. Now I have lots of new friends, including the other dog with whom I happily share my run, which tells you a lot about my pleasant, friendly temperament. At about 2 years old, I’m playful and fun-loving, as well as mature enough to know how to respect people and enjoy quiet moments, too. I’m a Shepherd mix female, about 55 pounds, with a lovely tan coat and deep brown eyes, and I’m dreaming of my luckiest day yet—the day you make me yours and let me be your devoted companion forever!

Hi… my name is Thor (aka Sleet),

Adopted with Loki 6-10-17

My brother, Loki, and I were adopted as puppies into a family with small children, cats and dogs, and we got along with all of them! But now our family is expecting another baby and moving to a place with a smaller yard, so we’re each looking for a new home and people to love. I’m an 18-month-old male, light brown with a white chest, and an athletic build—somewhat slender but tall. My former family said I let the kids lay on me and even pull my tail; guess that says a lot about my gentle, generous nature. Sure, I can bark, but I’m basically a peaceful, welcoming guy; when the volunteers pet or brush me, I’m content. Could you and I make each other happy forever? I’m guessing the answer is yes!

Hi… my name is Loki (aka Blizzard),

Adopted with Thor 6-10-17

My brother, Thor, and I were adopted as puppies into a family with small children, cats and dogs, and we got along with all of them! But now our family is expecting another baby and moving to a place with a smaller yard, so we’re each looking for a new home and people to love. I’m an 18-month-old male, light brown and white, somewhat slender but tall. People also notice that my eyes are different colors—one blue, one brown. My former family said I loved to lie down on couch (who doesn’t?) and be petted. Sure, I know how to bark, but I’m basically a peaceful, welcoming guy; when the volunteers pet or brush me, I’m so content. Could you and I make each other happy forever? I’m guessing the answer is yes!

Adopted 3-18-17

BROOK is a gentle, loving 2-year-old, 45-pound female Shepherd mix. She is a very sweet, people-oriented dog who was abandoned by owner. Brook is housebroken and will sit on command; she enjoys riding in car and walking on leash but needs more training. She is healthy, spayed, and is up to date on shots (medical records are available). Brook is okay with other passive dogs; cats and kids are unknown. Brook needs a home where someone is mostly at home; a fenced yard is recommended. There is no adoption fee. If you will welcome Brook into a loving home as part of your family, please call Andrea between 10 AM and 4 PM at 520-307-9481.

Hi… my name is Rickie,

Adopted 3-15-17

Since my puppy brothers were adopted, I’ve learned people can be fun, too! A volunteer even took me home for a visit and here’s what she discovered: I really like her two big female dogs and respond correctly to their “coaching,” have a good appetite, adorable personality, a little mouthy (maybe missing roughhousing with my brothers), settle quickly in my crate in the car, my leash skills are improving with every outing, and—here’s something to make you proud—I went potty whenever given the chance to go outside, so housetraining should go well. I’m a growing, 2-month-old Shepherd mix male with a smooth tan coat. Sometimes I’m timid, but when we meet and like each other—which I hope is soon—I’ll be the happy, easy-to-love puppy who’ll love you back forever!

Hi… my name is Bell,

Adopted 2-27-17

We’re not sure how I became a stray, but it appears my former owners left me behind when they moved away. Then, very soon, my story took a turn for the better. I was rescued from that predicament, whisked away to the care of people who made me feel important. Now, I have lots of friends here at TALGV, and they’ll tell you I’m a charming female, sometimes shy at first, but with lots of personality once we become acquainted. If we get together, I could become a favorite walking companion, (you would definitely be mine), and at home, while you relax, I’ll be happy just chilling out. I’m a white Shepherd mix, about 59 pounds, and who knows? You and I may discover some of our best times ever just by being together!

Hi… my name is Pearl,

Adopted 3-10-17

I was found near a local self-storage unit. Why there? Could be I just wandered that far. In any event, I was lost, but, fortunately for me, easy to find. At 83 pounds, I’m hard to miss—big and amazingly gentle. Maybe you’ve known other dogs like me—large-size sweethearts! For me, that means I can stay calm in a commotion, greet visitors sweetly, and if you’d rather mosey than race, that’s okay with me. On the other hand, I’m still young—just 2 years old—so I also love to play and have fun. I’m black and tan, with one of the friendliest faces you could ever hope to see. So won’t you come for a visit? And if we find each other irresistible, I’m ready to be your big gentle dog forever!

Hi… my name is Lucas,

Adopted 5-17-17

My canine buddy Cabo and I know the meaning of true friendship. When we were found at a Circle K, he had a chain collar embedded in his neck and although I couldn’t get it out, I kept licking that site, trying to help. When a veterinarian did remove the chain, we were both relieved! We’re 2-year-old Shepherd/Heeler mix males; I’m black and white, about 46 pounds, and these days each of us is having fun with our new people friends—some of whom teach us helpful dog lessons. Oh, we may bark at strangers at first, but we welcome friendly visitors—sometimes with dog kisses and invitations to play! Won’t you come see? Perhaps we can share the gift of loyalty, a feel-good thing that can last forever and make us all happy!
