My canine buddy Lucas and I know the meaning of true friendship. When we were found at a Circle K, I had a chain collar embedded in my neck and Lucas had been licking that site, trying to help. It took a veterinarian to remove the chain, but I was grateful to my buddy for caring about me. We’re 2-year-old Shepherd/Heeler mix males; I’m the brown and white one, about 43 pounds, and these days each of us is having fun with our new people friends—some of whom teach us helpful dog lessons. Oh, we may bark at strangers at first, but friendly visitors are welcome—sometimes with dog kisses and invitations to play! Won’t you come see? Perhaps we can share the gift of loyalty, a feel-good thing that can last forever!

Even though my front socks don’t match—one’s tan, the other’s white—I’m still a stylish dog, right? Maybe that’s how I stopped traffic! Well, I kind of did that. I was found on I-19; my rescuer spotted me, stopped her car and when she called, I gladly answered. In the brief time we were together, she said, I was okay with cats, and very okay with humans. I’m just 2 years old, a slender female Shepherd mix with a soft brown coat and a big energy supply. My ears are often in the alert position and so am I—ready for fun and play. Being affectionate is also my forte. Take me with you and I’ll show you how much fun it is to share home with a dog who’ll always love you!

I’m a people-loving dog. When lost, I went to a skating park just to be near people. More recently, I kept another dog company while her human mom recovered from illness and foster mom observed, “Roscoe LOVES EVERYONE, especially those who’ll sit and pet him.” You could say life has taught me how great it is to have friends. I’m an 11-year-old black shepherd mix male, mature and in good shape, plus I have FREE vet care for life. Since being rescued, I’ve met many good people, but there’s still someone missing—the someone who especially welcomes my sweet company, who chooses me to join them for walks and quiet times.
