I’ll share the sad part of my story first: I was abandoned, left behind when my person moved. And there may have been more cause for sadness before that, but I’m okay now—safe and cared for at TALGV—so let’s move on quickly to the good stuff. The walks, cozy blankets and soft bed here are great, and best of all I love the kindnesses—the gentle touches and sweet words. They tell me to say more about myself, so here goes: I’m 5 years old, a luscious cream color with charcoal highlights, female, and little. I hope you like little, cause I can’t really get bigger. And the main thing: I’ll give my whole heart to the person who adds true love and kindness to my life forever. Please say that’s you.

“A lovely dog,” is how my former people described me, and I like to think they were talking about more than just my gorgeous black, white and brown coat. They called me “sweet,” too, and said I played gently with the kids, but they couldn’t keep me after the father’s schedule changed and one of the children’s allergies increased significantly. Disappointing, yes, but I believe in a long, happy future. I’m just 1 year old, an Aussie/Shepherd mix female who’s a nice size at about 47 pounds. Being an easy-going dog, I enjoy a calm environment and going on walks is one of my favorite things (although I admit to chasing lizards on occasion). I’d love to meet you and chances are we might even love each other, so won’t you please visit today!

To be given away can be hurtful, especially when it’s not your fault. When my former people brought me to TALGV with three other family dogs, they said lots of good things about me, including that I’m gentle and tolerant with children. They said I’m a loyal, smart dog who know lots of commands—“come here,” “sit,” “eat,” “no,” and “lay down.” At 9 years old, I still enjoy lots of physical activity (I call that play) and walks with you (I’m leash trained). If all this sounds good, won’t you please come see me? I’m a beautiful Shepherd mix female, about 41 pounds, dark brown with touches of black, tan and white, and I’m holding on to the hope that someone wonderful does want a great companion like me. My striking red (or rust-colored) coat may catch your eye, my handsome face and alert ears may catch your attention, but my biggest hope is that my personality will catch your heart! I’m very interested in people—maybe that’s why I’m a quick learner who already knows commands like “sit,” “stay,” “bed” and “off.” Here at TALGV, I’m working hard to learn even more to be the best dog I can be. My former owner said I was great by myself, but can be dog selective and so I probably need to be your only dog. I’m a fit and lively 4-year-old Shepherd mix male, about 52 pounds, leash and crate trained, and I have good house manners. Along with my shepherd buddies Tim and Lady, I’m learning there is a big wonderful world out there! Before being taken in by TALGV, we lived in kennels our entire lives, so you can imagine how excited we are when given the chance to experience life outside the kennel. We need help learning to relax around new people, but I’ve discovered it’s so worth it, especially when that person gives belly rubs and ear scratches. I’m a Shepherd mix male, roughly 70 pounds, black and tan with touches of white, and only about 2 years old so I’ve got lots of living yet to do.
