I’m a happy guy who’s looking for someone to share the good times. People say I’m smart and that’s great, but it turned out I was “too much” for the senior community where I was living and so now I’m here, ready to make new friends. I’m a 4-year-old male, warm tan with white markings, and one look in my big brown eyes will tell you that I’ve got lots of love to give. As a Lab/Shepherd mix, I have good qualities from both breeds—I’m a loyal, playful fellow who really enjoys the company of people. Thanks to my smarts, I know how to be a good dog, and thanks to my personality, I know how to have fun! Let’s have a meet and greet, and see how happy we can be together!

When I was found 2-1/2 years ago (back when I was 6 months old), my finders already had dogs. We tried, but, unfortunately, we could not get along. In my next home, I should be the only dog. I’m a 3-year-old, lovely brown hound mix female, currently weighing in at about 52 pounds on my slender frame. Some of my favorite things are eating carrots, (yeah, carrots!), playing ball, and being with people. I love being with people so much, sometimes when we’re together, I look like I’m trying to smile. I already know “sit,” “come,” and “down,” and I am very familiar with walking on a leash. If you have room in your heart for a single lady like me, I’d love to be your one and only hound dog!

SHEBA is a highly-trainable, affectionate, 3-year-old, 85-pound shepherd mix that was rescued by her owners as a stray about 6 months ago. She does not fit into her owners’ established pack and they need to find a new home for her. She is spayed and shots are up to date (medical records available). Owners believe Sheba should be an only-dog since she is protective of her food with other dogs, but she does get along with cats; kids are unknown. Sheba loves people and usually has excellent manners. There is a concern about her behavior in a new environment since she can be unhappy with change, so it is important that her new owner have the time and patience to help her adjust. A 6’ wall or fence is recommended. She is easy-going, has a moderate energy level, and walks well on leash. If you would welcome Sheba into a loving home as part of your family, please call Jennifer between 8 AM and 8 PM at 1-505-710-5714. There is no adoption fee.

Once upon a time, I was a lost dog. It’s dangerous out there on your own, and very lonely, but that’s in the past. I say let bygones be bygones. I’m here now, where my naturally sweet and gentle nature can flourish. I’m 4 years old, a beautiful brown and black female Shepherd mix, nicely built at about 72 pounds. I walk well on a leash, and I’m always happy for your company; you can see that in my soft brown eyes. And as grateful as I am for all my new friends here, I must tell you that there’s still something missing. There’s a forever home in my dreams, and a loving someone to share it with. When my family adopted my sister, Dora, and me right after we were weaned, they had every good intention of making sure that we got the puppy training we needed. Well, they had three young kids (whom we totally adored) and they needed so much attention that that plan quickly fell by the wayside! When one of the kids got sick, they had even less time for us, so here I am at TALGV now, a 9-month-old Shepherd/Husky mix, and starting to learn all “good dog etiquette” things I missed out on. I’m playful, loving and attentive so I’m always on the lookout for human interaction. I got along great with my sister (who was recently adopted), but I absolutely don’t “do” cats at all, so a home where I can get lots of attention from humans will make my life complete!

The man who found me in the Safeway parking lot on Duval Mine Road said that he would have kept me in a minute, but he didn’t have a fenced yard for me to stretch my legs, so decided I’d do better with another family. I got along fine with his kids and the other animals I met, but since I arrived here I’ve been a little shy (but not “fearful” if that makes sense!), and am giving more tail wags and asking for affection with each passing day. The volunteers say I’m curious about toys (I may never have had the opportunity to play with them, who knows?), and they’re certain that I’ll be worth the investment in helping me understand that good things are in store for me with a new family.

When I arrived in late 2014, it was actually a good thing that the Sahuarita police picked me up for “vagrancy” because I was running in the middle of the intersection of Rancho Sahuarita Boulevard and Pima Mine Road, and that’s a pretty dangerous place for a canine! Since I was already neutered, I guess I had belonged to someone at one time. I was adopted in November 2014, but now I need to find another family to shower my affection on. I’m a magnificent white Siberian husky/shepherd mix with one blue and one brown eye, and I totally adore people. All I ask out of life is attention, an active family, and a place to call my own forever. That’s not too much is it?
