Hi… my name is Tigris,

Adopted 8-15-24

Being mamma to the “River Litter” gives me the unique spelling of my name. Don’t you want to come to meet me? I’m a lovely gray tabby with sparkling eyes waiting to meet my human(s) to adopt me. I was rescued by a kind person, just in the nick of time so I could give birth to my kittens in a foster home. That was comforting. I liked “home”–my first one. I learned how kind and caring humans can be. Being a stray is rough. I much prefer my own person(s) who will feed me and play with me. I can nap anywhere. I just need your home to be myself! Please come meet me!

Hi… my name is Zoey (aka Stripes),

Adopted 7-31-24

After being rescued from the desert as a tiny newborn, I was adopted and loved by wonderful people. But now they have some health issues and since I’ve grown into an energetic large dog, they think it best that I find my new home. Friends say I’m a very sweet and smart girl, who loves having fun playing with other dogs and going for car rides. Thanks to early training, I understand “sit” and “wait,” have been completely housetrained, and I’m willing to learn new rules, too. I’m young and strong, so I need someone strong on the other end of the leash. And after we exercise, I can be happily calm and content at home. If you’d like an active best friend for happy trails ahead, I could be yours. Let’s meet soon!

Prince is a social and well-behaved 40-pound, 7-year-old Purebred American Eskimo male that needs a new home as owner is ill and can no longer care for him. He is housebroken (will use doggy door if available), leash trained, and obedience trained (knows sit, stay, come, and no). He has been neutered, is up to date on shots, and is vision impaired in one eye. Prince gets along well with other dogs and children; cats are unknown. He is a friendly, treat-motivated, sweet boy that and loves affection and plays with his toys. There is no adoption fee for this special boy. If you will welcome Prince into a loving home as part of your family, please call Sylvia between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. at 480-352-3912.

Hi… my name is Tawny,

Adopted by foster family 9-14-25

As a scared, lost dog, I just wanted to be safe. Who knew I could be so happy, too! Today, I’m living with a wonderful foster family, who report I’ve come along well in the family situation. They’ve discovered I’m housetrained, respond well to “no” and “stop,” and love toys. I also love hanging out with the family dogs. There are still things to learn, of course. We haven’t walked on a leash yet, and as a possible escape risk, I need a 5-6 foot fence with a solid perimeter. My kind foster parents use a gentle approach, letting me go to them, and accepting that I may never be a cuddler. They’ve taught me what a loving home can be, and now I dream of belonging in one forever. Could it be with you?

Hi… my name is Eegee,

Adopted 7-12-24

What is an “eegee?” Just the most silky, smooth, icy fruit treat in Southern Arizona! Although my fur coat is silky and smooth, I’m not a fruit-flavored drink! Nope, I’m the mamma of the Subway Sandwich Litter. I’m somewhat guarded and afraid to be touched. That’s probably because as a stray, I gave birth to my kittens in a shed. When I arrived at The Animal League, my fur coat was matted so the volunteers brushed me out and that felt good. Will you provide me with my forever home? I need my human to promise me food, shelter and safety.   Ready to meet me? I’m waiting for you.
