Winter

Winter is an affectionate 5-year-old, 50-pound Dachshund/Staffie mix female who needs a new home. She is crate trained, leash trained, and has some obedience training (knows “sit” and “crate”). She asks to go out and can use a doggy door. She is in good health, spayed, up to date on rabies shot, and medical records are available. Winter gets along with other dogs, cats, and children over 5 years. She loves peanut butter treats, dislikes loud noises, and will play briefly with her ball. She stays off furniture but, if invited, she will be happy to sleep with you instead of in her crate. There is no adoption fee for this sweet girl. I’m a sweet little lady whose owners moved, and I couldn’t come along. I am a lovely, gentle girl with a sassy stripe down my nose (that’s what the shelter volunteers say) who adores a cozy spot where I can keep an eye on things. I especially love it when you brush me. I have lived a quiet life except for an unfortunate incident involving a mean dog, so I don’t want to live with a dog ever again!
