I’ve had a couple of homes already. My first owner died, and after that I went to a home with children, other cats, and a dog. All was well except that one of the other cats didn’t like me, and that stressed me out. I mean, I’m a pretty mellow guy, but you can only take so much. So here I am! I love to chase laser pointers, and crinkly toys really get my attention. My owners say I’m talkative. The volunteers here haven’t noticed that quality yet, but they observe that I’m still settling in. I like a cubby up high but will easily come out when coaxed, and enjoy being petted and brushed.

When you look at me you’ll see that I still need to grow into my feet—they’re big! I’m not sure how much more growing I have to do, so maybe I’ll just keep them as is. Anyway, you could call me a family man. I was in a home with several children, other cats and dogs. Given a choice, I liked to sleep with the kiddies. I like to play, and I’m also gentle and loving. I like attention and don’t mind being picked up and fussed over, and will purr my thanks. I’m a handsome orange and white boy with a friendly face. If you need a family addition, come meet me.

Three little puppies. I should say we were three very scaredlittle puppies when my siblings and I were discovered in an unoccupied house. Thank goodness our finder brought us to TALGV, where my brother and sister have already found their new homes. Now it’s my turn! I’m a shepherd mix female with deep brown eyes and a beautiful black coat with touches of white. My favorite things? Belly rubs, play time, and the company of kind people and other friendly pups. I’ve been described as sweet and quiet by my friends, and I’m starting to learn what puppies need to know. Today I’m a happy, playful guy with an adorable teddy bear look. But not too long ago I was lost, all alone on the edge of town and not knowing what to do. Imagine my relief when a wonderful person stopped for me and brought me here! Now I’m safe, comfy, cared for and learning young dog lessons. As my volunteer friends say, I’m good natured but need some guidance (which may previously have been missing from my life). I always welcome company, and my young dog energy makes me eager to play and have fun. Other personality traits? SIMBA is Charlie’s son, a 7-year-old, 10-pound Yorkie mix with a handsome golden coat.

Charlie and Simba are gentle, well-behaved Yorkies that love adults and children. They are neutered, up to date on shots, healthy, and medical records are available. They respond to commands: sit, come, walk, shake, snackie, and bathie. They are good with other dogs but not with cats. They are trained to use pee pads in the house, will ask to go out, or will use doggy door. They are leash trained and love going for walks.
