When I was adopted from TALGV about a year ago, I was an adorable puppy. I may have been big for my age but who could guess how much I’d grow in the months to come. Certainly not my adoptive parents! So here I am, a handsome, 1 ½-year-old, 94 lb. Great Dane/Boxer mix, who’s looking for a home. I know how to “sit” and ask to go out. Since I’m a high energy boy, I’ll need someone strong enough to teach me proper leash walking skills, all the basic commands, and good manners (since I’ve been told I should never jump up on people…no matter how lovable I am). I know that once we’ve completed my education, I’ll be a perfect gentleman who’ll make you proud! The adventure begins…are you ready?

I learned the hard way what a cold shoulder is: my family moved and just left me outside. Rude! I lived on the porch for a couple of weeks and was getting overheated. Finally someone brought me to safety. I’m ready for a new home where I will never experience that again! I’m very sweet and like to hide my nose in my paws. I enjoy petting and right now I hang out on a cat tree and take lots of naps there. My coat is a pretty grey with white. If you will come meet me we can get acquainted and find out if we’re simpatico. I’m betting you’ll love me at first sight.

I am a short little guy with a tooth that sometimes peeks out and people say I make them laugh. I like hearing it because usually they laugh and then immediately scratch behind my ears. My mom could no longer take care of me and Lizbeth, but she said that I got along well with kids and that I like some other animals but not all. She also mentioned that I was good when left alone in the house. You should know that I’m a bit of an adventurer, so a fenced yard where I can roam about would be just great! Or we can take walks together, perhaps to the park? If you like that and a companion to snuggle with at the end of the day, I’m here, waiting!

It’s no fun to be unwanted! Worse still to be left on a dirt road to fend for ourselves. Yet that’s what happened to me and my brother Tac. The ordeal bonded us and we came through it unscathed, rescued and brought to a safe place. We are in seventh heaven here, cuddling together on the top of a cat tree and surveying our new digs. Tac and I need to be adopted together since we’re so close. I like to talk to visitors, and you can tell me apart from my brother because I have a white chin. If you need a plus-sized guy in your life, I know one! When you come in, ask for Miko. I was loyal to my owners until they died a few months ago; I went to another home but that owner is now in poor health. I’m very shy with strangers and I’m not used to being around other animals. I like to sleep under the bed. However, my last owner says I’m playful (and sometimes a little rough) and I love toys. When you see me, I might seem scared, but please pet and brush me to warm me up. I’m a big orange boy with excellent eating and hygiene habits.

Maddie

Maddie is an adorable 7-pound, 7-month-old female Pomeranian that needs a new home. Owner’s health and limited energy are not adequate for training a puppy. She is partially housebroken, likes attention and playing fetch. Maddie is healthy, spayed and is up to date with shots (medical records available). She might be best as an only pet; children are unknown. She is a sweet cuddlebug that loves chest rubs and being brushed. Maddie should be easy to train since she responds to treats.
