Hi… my name is Toby,

Adopted 3-24-23

A handsome lad, I lived with another cat and a dog for several years. We all got along. However, my senior couple’s family who lived with us were not very kind to animals. So, it was decided that I be brought to The Animal League. My human dad said I was somewhat of a picky eater, that I was shy with strangers and somewhat independent. However, he also said that I liked to sleep on my humans’ bed, so I can’t be THAT independent, right? I love to play with a ball and string. I am waiting for my forever home where I can thrive with years of companionship. Could that be your home? Please come meet me!

Hi… my name is Ziva,

Adopted 4-7-23

Imagine five growing puppies, already 4 months old, crammed into a small crate and left at the side of the road. That’s the story of my siblings and me—five well-fed, happy puppies, all in good shape, and so glad to be found! Our breed? Best guess is Lab/Shepherd/Rottie mix, so we’ll probably become big dogs. I’d add friendly, active, and fun-loving dogs, too, because that’s who we are today. We enjoy going to the TALGV play yard, where we meet other dogs, and we’re learning important puppy lessons, including how to walk on a leash. I’m the only female, my coat is black with white markings, and I’m ready to go home. If you have room in your heart and life for a growing pup, could my happy forever home be with you?

Hi… my name is Lucky,

Adopted 2-24-23

“Lucky” I am to be here at The Animal League! In my previous home, I lived with another cat and a dog, and we all got along. The senior couple whose family lived in the same house were not nice to animals, so it was decided that I needed a new home. That’s what I’m waiting for! Could that be yours? I am one handsome lad who absolutely LOVES to be brushed and will roll over and over for you to brush me. I like to sleep everywhere and anywhere. And I enjoy eating. I am quiet and laid back, yet I love human attention. Please come meet me so I can demonstrate my charms!

Hi… my name is Castiel,

Adopted 3-22-23

My piercing, thoughtful eyes tell my story. My human lost her income, so she and her teenage son had to move out of state. Since they couldn’t take me, they brought me to The Animal League. They were sad and so was I. Here, I am hiding in a cubby until I get my bearings. However, if you pet and brush me, I respond with purrs! Although I may be skittish with strangers, I’m learning that the volunteers are kind to me. I like feather toys and catnip mice. I like to sleep under the bed or in a lap. I so desire a home of my own. Could that be yours?

Hi… my name is Boone,

There’ve been some famous “Boones” over the years:  from explorers to singers and even a brand of wine (LOL!).  THIS 2-ish year-old guy is just getting started in making a name for himself. Let’s go through the checklist: Likes other dogs? Yes! If you have one already, let’s meet and be friends! Kids? Yes, they make great playmates! Well-mannered, friendly and smart? Check, check and check! House-trained? Likely, yes as I ‘hold it’ until we go on walks, which, by the way, I love to do. Kitties? Well, they kinda scare me. Oh yeah, don’t forget handsome! I’m a shepherd-mix (mixed with Awesomeness!) and at 44 pounds I’m the perfect size and blend of energy and easygoingness. Did I miss anything? If you think you might be the perfect match, let’s arrange a Meet & Greet!
