Hi… my name is Midnight,

Adopted 1-11-26

I’m as dark as a moonless night, but I have the softest fur in town! I’m waiting for a new place to call “home” since my humans could no longer care for me. My long coat needs daily grooming – and not just from me! Also, I’m a special kitty with a condition called FIC (Feline Idiopathic Cystitis). My condition is manageable through diet and a calm, predictable environment (same food, schedule, and rest). I have lived with another cat and two seniors since kittenhood. A volunteer described me as “very sweet.” If you’re looking for a quiet, yet sociable cat – come find me in my dome bed!

Hi… my name is Mitzi,

Adopted 11-15-25

Looks aren’t everything, but people were surprised when they saw the gorgeous girl hiding beneath some very matted fur. I am a vivacious, friendly, loving pup with a big heart and a new attitude. My makeover has put some extra pep in my step, and I walk on a leash like I’m strutting down a catwalk. I love to cuddle and am an excellent little walker. If you have some treats to spare, as well as some scratches, I will be your friend for life. Other dogs? No problem! Cats? As long as they mind their business, I will mind mine. You can’t get much easier than me. If you’re looking for a pup who is as beautiful inside as out, I’m your girl.

Hi… my name is Xena,

Adopted 2-5-26

Some dogs leap into life like it’s a parade. Me? I take the quiet side street. When my family lost their home, I landed at TALGV, unsure of everything. I’m a soft, fluffy girl with a shy heart, and I do best when life moves slowly. In my foster home, I’ve shown that I’m a peaceful, easy roommate. I love cozy beds, calm mornings, and being near my person. I’m house-trained, prefer staying indoors, and enjoy simple pleasures like mealtime games and gentle affection. What may help me is having another calm, friendly canine companion to give me confidence and help remind me to enjoy being a dog. If you have a low-key home and a kind dog to show me the way, I may be your perfect match.

Hi… my name is Meteor,

Adopted 12-22-25

Yeah, my head enters the room a full three seconds before the rest of my body. People wonder if doorways need to be widened for me to fit through. In reality, the only thing “impactful” about me is my snuggle game. I came to TALGV when my family lost their home, and suddenly my whole world changed. I’m still figuring it out—new smells, new friends, and this magical thing called a “walk.” Speaking of walks, since I’m built like a tank, I sometimes steer like one, too. But I’m mastering my leash manners and impressing everyone with my progress. I’ve not been a fan of meeting other dogs thus far, but I may not have met the right one yet. If you’ve got space in your heart, I’d love to meteor-shower you with love.

Rex

Hi… my name is Rex,

Adopted with Ricky 11-28-25

Ever been the new kid at school who doesn’t know where the lockers are or why everyone else has friends? That was me when I first arrived at TALGV. One minute I was alone in the desert, and the next I was in a big, busy place with walls, people, and routines. I was terrified and needed a few days to realize I was safe. I soon realized everyone here was nice. Volunteers showed up with patience and treats, and a friendly dog “classmate” moved in with me. I started to relax and show my real self—an eager-to-learn Shepherd who loves recess (playtime!). I am a strong walker on leash, and I appear to be housetrained. I’d love a home with another playful dog. I’m a gentle big boy… just hoping for my forever homeroom.
