Animal League News

Hi… my name is Panda Bear,

Adoptd 4-25-26

My first human moved away. In my second home, I had to compete for affection and attention with another cat, so I’m back at The Animal League again! I’m a classy looking lady with baby blue eyes. I have what looks like a reverse “blaze” of dark fur going up from my chin to cheeks to forehead. I love head and ear scratches and will lean into cheek pets. Because I bond well with humans, I need one of my own – I need to be your one and only, too! My vaccines are current and I’m ready to go! Please, come rescue me!

Hi… my name is Zachary,

Adopted 3-7-26

I’m back at The Animal League, again! I was adopted by a nice senior lady who developed health issues. Sorry she’s ill. I won’t lie – I’m a very needy guy. You’ve heard of “less is more?” Well, I’m the opposite – the more the better! I just adore being carried around in the cat sling. The socializers are brushing me daily to keep me well groomed. I guess I’m a bit lax in that department. Do you have time to spare and time to brush? Well, I’m the cat for you, especially if you want one that needs you desperately and will talk to you all day long.

Hi… my name is Cheese Nip,

Adopted 3-2-26

Are you looking for a friendly cat who can have a good relationship with dogs? Look no further! My last owner claimed I “nipped” his wife. I guess that’s why they named me Cheese Nip! I’m a high-octane girl who can sing arias to you. I’ve got the pipes to ask for attention. I’m a real beauty – my fur is soft and my tail is like a plume. I was very scared when I came to The Animal League, but the volunteers here are grooming and socializing with me daily. Excellent job, guys! Come meet me and see if I can impress you.

Hi… my name is Ollie,

RAINBOW BRIDGE 3-19-26

I’m a friendly and gentle lap cat with soft fur and striking green eyes. I’ve had three homes. My third owner said I was “very loving” but gave me up because of medical issues (I have a lump on my ribcage). Well, I got the worst news possible – the lump is suspicious for a soft tissue sarcoma (the big C). And because of the location and complexity for surgery, we’ve opted for palliative care. Is there a kind soul out there willing to provide me with a quiet home for my remaining time? I’m super sweet and come with vet care support for life. I’m at The Animal League waiting for you.

Hi… my name is Butterfinger,

Adopted 2-20-26

My luck hasn’t been too good. My last two owners developed health issues and had to bring me to The Animal League. I’m hoping the third time is the charm! I’m a little shy and I like to sleep in a dark closet. When I know you I will jump in your lap. In the past I lived with another cat, a dog and children, but more recently my home has been quiet. Here I’ve been hanging out in a wall cubby, enjoying the attention of the volunteers who come to see me. I’m a solid orange tabby boy with lots ahead of me. Can we go through that together?

Hi… my name is Stripy Girl,

Adopted 2-4-26

When my human changed jobs and started traveling more, that wasn’t going to be good for me—so here I am. I’m a plus-sized girl with grey tabby markings, white feet and chest, and a distinctive orange right cheek. How’s that for flair?  I’m very friendly and enjoy all the attention you can give me—petting, brushing and scratching. You can pick me up (if you can lift me), and I’ll stay in your lap. I’ve been hanging out on a perch near the window sill where I can see everything.  Why not come check me out and see if we are meant to be? (8-2025)

Hi… my name is Charlie,

Adopted 2-7-26

If I look like I’m smiling, it’s because I am. I’ve had a taste of the good life and know just how great a real home can be. I was recently in a home and thrived as an active companion—running alongside my person on bike rides (while leashed), enjoying structure, and showing off my excellent manners. I’m housetrained, incredibly smart, loyal to my people, and polite with dogs of all sizes. I rarely bark, pick things up quickly, and love having a job or routine to keep my brain busy. One thing to know about me: I’m an adventurous thinker and can jump walls, so I need a very secure yard and a family that gives me plenty of reasons to stay close. With the right setup, I’m an amazing partner ready to commit for life.
