Mama was a wild one, giving birth to me and my brother Topsy in a garage—then she disappeared. Thankfully the garage owner brought us to The Animal League. Not being used to an indoor environment yet, I’m a little shy—but I want to adjust. I can be petted and will play. My coat is a pretty mixture of colors, which is set off by my big coppery eyes. In my long life (so far) I’ve had two wonderful homes, but my owners developed health issues and could not care for me any longer. Not to toot my own horn, but I’m a drop-dead gorgeous medium-haired classic calico and have a VERY sociable and charming personality to match. I live for the times when a volunteer comes into my room and I jump right in their lap, cuddling like a baby with my paws on their chest. Come say hello and I will give you a personal demonstration of how wonderful I can be! I do need a little extra medical attention, but with my senior status comes vet care support for life.

I guess it’s hard on families when they separate, but it’s doubly hard with there are kids and pets involved. My not-so-little household consisted of my feline friend Precious, two youngsters, and two good-size dogs, and we all had a splendid time enjoying life. For an 18-year-old (with vet care support for life) who spent most of her life with them, things are pretty topsy-turvy right now, but mom said that I’m gentle and outgoing and although sometimes shy, I love people, so even though I’m visually impaired, I know one day things will be back on an even keel for me again. If you make that happen, I know there’ll be a twinkling gold star in your crown!

Oh, how I would like a safe home! I’m a little scared and skittish right now, but I have to admit I do like people. Although I seem to shrink from contact, I like being petted and brushed, and I will approach you for attention. Being held and sitting on laps is a bit too much for me though. I get along with other cats and dogs. I’m a sleek black girl with wide eyes and I like sitting on the window sill. Although I’m pretty young, I don’t play very much. If you come to meet me and spend time with me, we can see if it was meant to be!
