Hi… my name is Raven,

Adopted 3-25-23

A sleek, black cat is what you will get if you adopt me. I am gentle and loving. I enjoy being petted, and I love being talked to! I enjoy quiet naps throughout the day. Such amazing qualities for a young, stray cat who was dropped off at a house in Rio Rico. Since the resident of the house couldn’t keep me, she brought me to The Animal League. So now I am waiting for my own person to whisk me off to my forever home. Are you looking for a feline companion? If so, I’m here to meet you. We could make so many wonderful memories together!

Hi… my name is Sherman,

Adopted 11-20-22

A scary life event happened to my owner and I was brought to TALGV with my pal, Rex. I don’t know what I would have done without Rex, because he was so outgoing he helped me enjoy life. Some things, like cats or big winds, are still scary, but you know how opposites attract, well that was Rex and me.  I won’t help much with housework, but I really like to sit with you and cuddle. If you give me a window seat, I can keep an eye out to protect you from scary things, real or imagined. Rex has been adopted now so I’m a single package of love looking for my forever home. Could that be with you?

Hi… my name is Paisley,

Adopted 1-12-23

I came from a home that had lots and lots of animals and, unfortunately, our people just couldn’t take care of us any longer. After spending many months outside I was captured and brought to The Animal League. I’m a fun, little solid black girl who has become a little shy (maybe that time outside made me scared). I don’t like any sudden moves, but the volunteers have been able to coax me into their laps (briefly) and I do like brushing.  I’m getting used to being safe inside and I hope I can find a home where that can be permanent!  What do you say? Can you bring out my loving personality?

Hi… my name is MacKenzie,

Adopted 1-18-23

I had quite an experience finding my way to The Animal League. After being rescued as a stray in Nogales, the woman who agreed to bring me here put me up in her bathroom for one night. That was when my four kittens decided to be born! It was a surprise to my rescuer, but she got all of us in to the shelter. Now my babies are being fostered until they are big enough to be adopted. I’m all ready though! I’m super friendly and will roll over for petting and brushing. I like laps, too. I’m looking forward to a friendly home where I can shower my affection on you!

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

Well, it was good while it lasted! I lived in a home with children, dogs and cats for almost all of my life. I was good with the kids but not so much with the other animals. I’m a big tuxedo girl who likes petting and am very loving with people in general.  You can see in my photo some marks on my nose; we’re not sure how that happened but I’m getting it cared for. I would dearly love to find a home where I can be the one-and-only pet. With my senior status I come with vet care support for life, which is one more reason to come check me out!

Hi… my name is Angel,

Adopted 10-26-22

I was brought to TALGV, along with my roommate Buddy, after our “dad” passed away. Our “mom,” due to her work schedule, couldn’t give us the care we needed. We were both bonded to “dad” but not to each other. There are a few commands I was taught such as: “sit,” “take it nice,” “get your toy,” and “come.” I would like to add more commands to my list, and learn some basic house rules (“ask to go potty,” etc.). I’ve been good around children (ages 9-11), love to cuddle, and enjoy playing with my chew and tug toys. I hear exercise is good for both humans and dogs. I’m thinking, when you adopt me, we could go for walks and enjoy our exercise together. These paws were made for walking and I’m ready to go!

Hi… my name is Libby,

Adopted 10-30-22

I’m a happy, adorable Hound/Staffie mix, and at my age (about 9 months) I’m ready and eager to learn. This usually takes a touch of human patience, and being a healthy youngster, with a lot of puppy energy to burn off, I’d appreciate your firm but loving  guidance. I need to continue my education, and it appears that I’m a pretty good student, because I’m already learning some basic commands like: “off,” “sit,” and “down” (occasionally). I recently passed the cat test, can use a doggie door, but may need some house training. I also need leash training, and once that’s accomplished we’ll both be able to enjoy our walks, and explore exciting places together. When I say “both,” I’m referring to you and me! So won’t YOU please take ME home?

Zen

Hi… my name is Zen,

Adopted 10-27-22

“A state of calm attentiveness in which actions are guided by intuition rather than conscious effort.” That is the definition of “zen,” and I live up to my name. I was found in an RV park near Amado by a person camping. It was evident that I had defended myself outdoors and that I wanted a human to care for me. I must have enjoyed that before my wanderings because I’m very comfortable with humans. I’m calm and peaceful and am a quiet and friendly cat with soft fur. I really enjoy being petted. I’m people and dog friendly. How I desire my own home! If you’re looking for a calm companion, I’m your cat!

Hi… my name is Fawn,

adopted 11-4-22

When I arrived at The Animal League, I had a feeling this is where I was meant to be. I was right! During a recent photo shoot, while posing in my Halloween costume, I showed the folks at TALGV what a natural model I am. I’m a very loving, friendly gal who enjoys treats, and I discovered the only way I can get them is to work for them. I might add I REALLY enjoy my work! I’m friendly and very affectionate, love human companionship, use a doggy door, and am working on my leash walking skills.  When you come in to meet me, once I get over my initial excitement, I may show you a few commands I know like: “sit,” “shake,” and “down.” If I can learn all that, just imagine the possibilities once we get home.
