Hi… my name is Trixie,

Adopted with Mimosa 11-15-22

I am a friendly, “chill” feline who loves human companionship. Since birth I lived with my human who can no longer care for me. Although I am playful, I prefer laps over toys. Sometimes I share that lap with my best friend Mimosa. We are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. I like to sit in chairs or high cat trees. Although I’m curious about outdoors, I realize that is a no-no! I prefer being a comfort to my human. I have also lived with another cat, as well as a small dog. I am gentle and tolerant of children. Why not expand your social circle to include Mimosa and me?  We’re waiting!

Hi… my name is Mimosa,

Adopted with Trixie 11-15-22

I am a beauty with a personality to match! I’m a great companion who will follow you everywhere, and I love sitting in laps and being petted. I love to be brushed (and I need that.) Can you tell that I love attention? I love to sit and look out the window. I may try to go outside, but that’s a no-no! I will sleep anywhere, but I prefer to nap next to my human. I’ve lived with my best friend Trixie my entire life. We are a bonded pair that must be adopted together. I have also lived with a small dog. How about it? Won’t you please come meet Trixie and me?

Hi… my name is Rocky,

Adopted 1-26-23

My owner gave me to a friend, but the friend didn’t keep me. After several days of making the rounds on the GV Country Club fairways, I was brought to TALGV. I’m a male Akita/Husky mix, about 9 months old, who’s looking for a home. I haven’t had very much training in the past, but I’m getting it now! I’m enrolled in “Basic Commands 101” (sit, down, stay, etc.), and I’m also taking a course in “Leash Training 102.” I understand that “Socializing 103” is a lesson EVERYONE needs. I recently made a friend in our play yard, and maybe one of these days I’ll be lucky and get a roommate. I know there’s someone out there just for me. Someone firm, patient, and above all…loving. Could that someone be YOU?

Hi… my name is Bo Peep,

Adopted 2-27-23

My name was changed from Lola to Bo Peep when I arrived at The Animal League. I kind of like it! I’m ready for change. I lost my home because my humans were moving across country and couldn’t take me with them. In that home I got along well with children but was shy with strangers. I was known to hide when I arrived in a new place.  Once I’m accustomed to my new environment, I warm up and love to cuddle with my person. I like to nap on a cat tower. I’m independent, gentle, and laid back. Please come meet me to see if we would be a good match for each other!

Hi… my name is Luna,

Adopted 2-12-23

My family was moving across country to a place that would not accept pets, so here I am waiting for my new home. My mom said that I’m shy at first but love to cuddle once I warm up to you. TALGV volunteers are finding this true as I adjust to being here. I love to nap in a cat tower or bed. I have lived with a family who have young children and have lived with another cat. However, I have not lived with dogs so I’m not sure about those canines. I’m not a picky eater. Don’t I sound like the perfect feline? Please come meet me. I’m ready to go to my new home!

Hi… my name is Derby,

Adopted 4-1-23

My brother and I were found by a kind person when we were just kittens. Our mom was injured and limping along with us down the road, and we were all brought to The Animal League. I’m the quiet type and spend most of my time in a cubby.  But when the volunteers reach in to pet me, I definitely like it and respond with purring. I also like having my ears scratched! If I could just find that special someone who is patient and kind, I’m sure I could blossom into a real companion. I have lots of time to let you bring out my best side! Give me a try.

Hi… my name is Belmont,

Adopted 4-19-23

My sister and I were found by a kind person when we were just kittens. Our mom was injured and limping along with us down the road, and we were all brought to The Animal League. I’m the shy type.  But if you can catch me you can pet me, and hold me. I’m just very scared. The volunteers here are working to teach me that humans can be trusted. I do enjoy playing with the other kittens in my room and spend most of my time with them out in the open. I also like to stand by the door watching what’s happening in the hallway. Can I come play at your house?

Hi… my name is Grey Baby,

Adopted 10-30-22

Would you like to have a “very nice, gentle cat who can be petted and picked up?” Well then, please come meet me! That is how my rescuer described me, and it is proving true here at The Animal League. I have lived with dogs and other cats. I lived outside after my humans moved without taking me with them. I MUCH prefer the safety of the indoors where I can stare out the window from my cat tree! Although on first meeting you I may be shy, I will warm up to you if you gently stroke my soft fur coat and whisper to me. So, how about it? Let’s meet!
