Hash is a friendly and sweet three-year-old, 10-pound Chihuahua male who needs a new home. He is crate trained, leash trained, and house trained (asks to go out). He is neutered and in good health. Hash is good with children and other dogs but cats are unknown. He has a cute personality and sleeps in his own bed. He is bonded with his big companion, Astro, but would probably be okay as an only pet. There is no adoption fee. Hi… my name is Captain Crunch,

Adopted 4-8-23

I am a medium-sized, Shepherd-mix boy who was rescued with four other pups on a Tucson street. The only crime committed by this cereal gang: We were unwanted. (Oh, and maybe a little jaywalking.) Fortunately, some good Samaritans spotted us and brought us to TALGV for a chance at a better life. My volunteer friends say I’m small in stature for a Shepherd mix. They also say I’m a little shy—but that’s to be expected when you’re scared—and that I’m a sweet, mild-mannered fellow who could use some training in basic commands. Are you a patient leader who can teach this Captain the ins-and-outs of being your second in command? And can you provide some ‘crunch,’ too? If so, I’ll provide the love. C’mon, let’s hear it: “Aye, aye, Captain!”

Hi… my name is Soda Pop,

Adopted 8-23-23

Have you ever wondered what your family canine member is dreaming about? Do you know what my dream is? Yes, you guessed it! My very own forever home. I was one of several  lucky dogs to be chosen to come to TALGV from PACC. I must admit, that makes me feel very special! Even though I was shy at first, it didn’t take me long to settle in, and now I enjoy sharing my room with a great roommate. I know “sit,” and when dressed in my harness, I walk pretty well on a leash. Back to my dreams! I’m a friendly, affectionate young Staffie mix girl, who really wants hers to come true. That would involve you visiting me! Please just “pop” in! Who knows, maybe both our dreams can come true.

Hi… my name is Jason,

Adopted with Daphne 5-7-23

Even though I was apprehensive when I first arrived at TALGV, I sensed my life had changed for the better. I know my gal pal Daphnie was nervous, and I was happy that we could offer each other support. It didn’t take long before I realized this was exactly where I should be. Now I’m making new friends, going for walks (I do quite well), and looking forward to finding my forever home. I’ve heard, by word of mouth, that I need to learn some basic commands. I can be affectionate, but I’m still a little shy…until I feel comfortable with someone. Naturally, being on the receiving end of affection is something I really enjoy most, but I’m ready to share the mutual “giving” and “receiving” with you when we get home.

Hi… my name is Dutchess,

Adoped 7-17-23

Royalty in Green Valley? It’s true! I’m Her Royal Highness, the Dutchess of TALGV, and I’m so happy to be here! I’m not a ‘stiff upper lip’ type, as I want to enjoy life to the fullest and share my big heart with others. I might be 9 years old, but you’d never know it as I’m an active girl who loves to go on outings – whether walks or car rides, anything really – as long as I can be near people. I’ve been sociable with dogs, though I like to be the boss. Even though I was found as a stray, I believe our past shouldn’t hold us back. There’s so much joy to be shared with loved-ones. I’m ready to start the ‘Happily Ever After’ chapter of my life. Could it be with you?

Hi… my name is Daphnie,

Adopted with Jason 5-7-23

I’m a shy, intelligent Shepherd mix gal, looking for that special someone who’s patient and willing to earn my trust. I was in a foster home for a short time where I learned to obey house rules, and since I’m very “treat” motivated, I learn quickly. I understand the basic commands: “sit,” “wait,” “come,” “leave it,” “down,” “stay,” and “off.” I love chasing and playing with toys, don’t like loud noises, listen when told “no,” and ask to go out. I can share more about myself and answer questions, when we meet! I do have a roommate and enjoy his company. I could also enjoy your company! After accepting you, it will probably take a little longer to earn my trust, but once earned, I’ll be your loving and faithful companion for life!

Hi… my name is Arty,

Adopted 1-6-24

I was a Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) pooch that had been repeatedly overlooked by potential adopters. Why? Oh, it’s not because I’m not special—I AM! It’s just that PACC had more than 400 other furry choices. Lucky for me, some astute Animal League volunteers saw my sparkling personality and they picked ME to come here where I could shine. And shine I do! My TALGV friends say I’m a “great dog” who knows how to “sit,” “stay,” “heel,” and “come.” I also know the “watch me” command and walk well on a leash. My hobbies include the outdoors—especially hiking—and I like playing with dog friends and people friends. ALL PEOPLE! And once I warm up to you, watch out, because this mellow fellow becomes a kissy-faced dreamboat. Can I be YOUR pick?
